Little Caesar's Top Seller
As one of two top sellers nationwide for June 2008, The Dapper Dan Club was awarded $500 from Little Casear's Pizza Fundraising Program.
The Dapper Dan wishes to express our appreciation to Little Casear's and to all of our players who participated in selling Little Casear's Pizza.

John “Joker” Boyle
John “Joker” Coulehan Boyle, 82, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at the Allegany County Nursing and Rehab Center.
Joker managed the Twins in 1972 with John Landers and Jack Ruggles. They went on to win the championship in 1977. In 1990, Joker managed the Phillies and became Dapper Dan Division Champions.
In 1993, Joker became the P.A. announcer and scorekeeper for the newly named John J. Long Field at Constitution Park. He spent countless hours at the field as P.A. announcer, scorekeeper and providing field maintenance.
Joker served on the Executive Board and on numerous committees. He was chosen “Man of the Year,” the highest honor bestowed by the Dapper Dan: The Peter J. Carpenti Memorial Award.
The Dapper Dan Club wishes to pass along our deepest sympathy to his family.

Minor League Draft
April 1, 2008 --
The Minor League Draft will be held on Thursday April 3rd at 7:00 in the cafeteria at Braddock Middle School. Coaches need to be at the school at 6:45 so updated lists can be passed out. We would like to let everyone know to urge all kids wanting to play in the Minor league ages 7-9 prior to April 30th (10's are not elgible due to Major draft rules) to complete and application prior to Thursday evening. The club would like to welcome our new managers in the Minor League. Lloyd Appel will take over the former Angels, Dick King the former Giants, and Tom Hipp the former Nationals.

Dapper Dan Awards Banquet - January 26,2008
The annual Dapper Dan Dinner and Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday night with dinner at 5:00 PM and Awards presentation starting at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available by contacting any Executive Board member or by calling The Original Sports Shoppe at 301-722-5490.
