BAG-PACKING FUNDRAISING EVENT
Davie & Allison Stevenson have oganised a fundraising bag-packing event at Sainsbury's, Straiton on
Wednesday 30th December from 2-6pm.
This is a great date, as lots of people will be doing their New Year shopping for food & drink - so it should be very busy - and hopefully we'll make lots of money for CETC!
We need loads of volunteers to help pack customers bags, so if you can spare some time - even just an hour or so - please contact Davie & Allison ASAP at vice.chair@cityofedinburghtrampolineclub.co.uk
(members under 11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult)or fill in the form handed out at classes - and hand to any of the coaches.Thank you.

SCOTTISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009
A massive 'WELL DONE' to all CETC competitors in the SCOTTISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009, which took place yesterday (Sat. 26th Sept) at Bells Sports Centre, Perth. Every CETC competitor performed brilliantly - and we came home with a haul of Scottish National Titles & medals!
FANTASTIC RESULTS!!
Thanks to all the coaches & Assistants who attended the event & all parent judges, marshalls & Recorders - whom we couldn't do without - a huge, huge 'Thank you'!

TRAMPOLINE COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD!
Head Coach, Lauren Jeffrey was presented with the'TRAMPOLINE COACH OF THE YEAR 2008' award at the recent Scottish Gymnastics Awards Dinner & Presentations 2007/2008 on Friday 28th August 2009 at The Park Hotel, Falkirk.
Lauren received her award from Lynne Milne, President of SG, at this prestigious bi-annual event, where she was joined by her family, coaches & Committee members, to celebrate the occasion.(see 'photo albums')
I’m sure that all CETC members will agree that Lauren highly deserves this award, having worked extremely hard in founding & quickly expanding the Club – to make it the continuing success that it is today.

NEW DMT CLASSES
Following the success of the CETC pilot DMT programme,which resulted in unbelievable success at the British Championships 2009,we have decided to launch 3 new DMT classes at Lasswade on Fridays. These are open to all Club members and we are hoping to recruit some gymnasts/tumblers into these classes. For more details please contact the Club secretary.

BRITISH TRAMPOLINE, DMT & SYNCHRO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009
A massive WELL DONE & CONGRATULATIONS! to the 3 CETC British Championships DMT qualifiers - AARON YULE, LAURIE DOONAN & LAUREN MILLAR who all gave outstanding performances at this prestigious competition in Birmingham over the weekend. Their final results were as follows:
AARON YULE - 6TH OVERALL - U15 BOYS DMT
LAURIE DOONAN - 28TH OVERALL - U15 GIRLS DMT
LAUREN MILLAR - 9TH OVERALL - O15 LADIES DMT
These are magnificent results - WELL DONE!

Thanks must go to all the coaches - Lauren, Kayleigh, Lori & Claire for all their hard work & extra coaching sessions prior to the event - and their support of the youngsters over the weekend in Birmingham.A huge thanks too - to parents, Mairi, Tracey & Sandra who accompanied their youngsters to this exciting event. Special thanks from CETC to Sandra Millar who was selected by BG as a 'Computer Recorder' for the trampoline competition on both days.

BG NORTHERN GALA - CETC SUCCESS!!
On 16th May 2009, 17 CETC members, coaches and parents travelled to South Shields Newcastle for the British Gymnastics Northern Gala Weekend. 10 club members competed in the Nat C Double- Mini Competition with outstanding results!! Out of 10 entries the club had 50% of its participants qualify into the finals on the day, where they secured an Individual Bronze and Team Gold. Three individuals qualified for The British National Championships in Birmingham (marked with * below)!! These were amazing results after only 8 double mini training sessions, and having never even been on a double mini- before that!
Results:
U15 Boys: Aaron Yule 3rd*, Gary Tickle 5th, Callum Connarty 6th
U15 Girls: Laurie Doonan 6th*, Amanda Thomson 14th=, Caitlin O'Brien 18th=, Niamh Pinkerton & Rebecca Stevenson 22nd=.
O15 Girls: Lauren Millar 6th*, Rebecca MacFarlane 24th.
(Commiserations to Kayleigh Jeffrey who was unable to compete due to injury)

CETC First Ever Double-Mini Team
THe following individuals have been selected to train for, and compete in the British Gymnastics Northern Gala Competition at South Shields, Newcastle on the 16th/17th May 2009 in National C level DMT (Double-Mini Trampoline).
O15 Ladies Team: Kayleigh Jeffrey, Lauren Millar, Rebecca McFarlane
U15 Girls Team: Laurie Doonan, Rebecca Stevenson, Caitlin O'Brien, Amanda Thomson, Niamh Pinkerton>
U15 Boys Team: Callum Connarty, Gary Tickle, Aaron Yule
This is the first time CETC have travelled to England for a competition and only the second time the club have competed DMT. Double-Mini will be introduced at the 2009 Summer Schools and regular DMT Classes will begin in August.We wish the team the best of luck at the event, and thanks to Coaches Lori McQueen & Lauren Jeffrey for their hard work. Thanks also to the following parent volunteers in advance, for their help with Judging, Recording, Marshalling and Driving the bus at this event: Sandra Miller, Mhari Doonan, Davie Stevenson, Allison Stevenson & Tracey Yule.

Summer Schools 2009
CETC are pleased to announce that 3 Summer School Programmes will be running this year. The Summer Schools will be offering a chance to develop trampolining skills, learn new moves, synchro and even try DMT (Double-mini Trampoline)!! There will be lots of fun and games and all participants will receive this years Limited Edition Summer School T-Shirt!! Spaces are limited, so sign up quickly if you don't want to miss out!
