ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
November 5, 2008 - 06:00 PM --
Hello TOPSoccer Parents/Players:
The Elk Grove TOPSoccer Club Annual General Meeting is set for Wednesday, November 5th at Steve's Pizza Banquet Room from 6pm-8pm. The address is 9135 W. Stockton Blvd (over by Best Buy). If you pre-order 3 days or more in advance, you can get $3.00 off a large pizza. You can do this by e-mailing your order to stevespizza@yahoo.com and identify yourself as TOPSoccer and put it under your players name. That way, it will be pre-made and go into the oven as soon as you get there and pay for it.
The annual general meeting is a mandated meeting that each club must hold once a year. It is open to the parents/caregivers of all registered players in the club. It is necessary to either implement or update the clubs bylaws, receive a summary presentation from each board member on their area of responsibility, elect board members, and go over the plan for the next year. This is your opportunity to give good input into how the club is operated. This year we will need to elect our executive board (Manager & Secretary), because the current board was appointed by the manager who was appointed by the EGYSL. So, this meeting is very important. It is also where your player will be able to pick up their trophies for the year (the trophies for TOPSoccer will be ready, but NOT for the rest of the league, so do not tell your friends that they are!!!!!!).
