    Moore USSSA Qualifier April 5,6
The Boys traveled to Moore, OK for their first out of town tourney and first machine pitch games of the year. They came out their first game and played a solid Red Sox team that hit a lot of balls right at us, and we were able to handle them defensively. Our bats came alive in our first game of the year as we went on to win our first pool game 15-2. Our second pool game came against the Oklahoma Bulldogs, and what a match-up it was. Hitting the ball hard again we were only able to scratch out 7 runs as the Bulldogs shortstop and first baseman put on a defensive show against us. The Bulldogs bats were solid and we made a few mistakes to give them a win over us 14-7. Sunday we showed up ready to play after a fun night of swimming and eating out. Our first game was against another Red Sox team that was extremely solid and played really well. We were able to sneak past the first round of single elimination with a solid defensive performance, our first triple play, and a win of 4-3. In our next game we faced the Oklahoma Bulldogs again for the right to move on to the championship game. We came out playing hard and making solid defensive plays. Our bats, while not quite as strong, appeared at the right time and gave us a close but well earned victory over the Bulldogs 10-7. Making it into the championship was quite an accomplishment, but the boys weren't done just yet. Playing right after the previous game we went into battle a solid and well coached Moore Storm team. Making great plays, and both sides hitting the ball hard was going well, until we made a few too many mistakes that the Storm capitalized on. With the score 12-5 after the top of the fourth the umpire called the game for the Storm, giving them the victory and giving us a great second place finish! I was very proud of all the boys, and I could not have asked for anything more from any of them. They all performed above my expectations and I can't tell you how happy I was to see them go home with some hardware after a long weekend at the ballpark. Congratulations Boys!!!

    EJRT Pre-Season Tournament
The boys came out playing hard and doing their best in a tough 8U league. They were able to manage three straight wins to get them into the winners bracket finals before dropping one to the Longhorns, and then one to the Yard Dogs to finish a very respectable 3rd place for an all 7U team. The hard practices and preperation, as well as, playing in the Moore tournament shown through as the Outlaws were able to make the upper division securing quality competitive games for their league play. Congratulations boys!

    Edmond Qualifier April 18,19
The Outlaws boys traveled to Edmond to participate in the EASI Qualifier. Receiving the number one seed, the boys came out on Saturday and only had to play one game as they won and advanced to the winners bracket finals on Sunday. After a few long swimming sessions and some great Mexican food, the boys came out Sunday and played a great game against the Yard Dogs. Hitting the ball well and playing great defense kept the game close and took us into the final inning coming up just short as the Outlaws dropped a close 9-7 decision. Our next game didn't go quite as well. With the boys bats gone completely cold for the game, the Edmond White Sox handily put the Outlaws out of the tournament for a Third place finish. We'll get em' next time boys. Great job and keep working hard.
