Fernando Villena joins the Independence Staff: Fifteen continuous years of experience coaching soccer at the high school and college level. Twenty-eight year history of playing soccer. Five years of playing professional soccer. a coaching attitude that inspires good sportsmanship, confidence and respect in players. Initiated and coached the soccer program at Del Tech Terry Campus. Initiated and coached the soccer programs at ST. Thomas More and Polytech High Schools. Coached JV and Freshman Soccer at Dover high as well. Assistant Coach at Wesley College. Coached at a Brazilian soccer camp through BRUSA International Soccer Institute. National Soccer Coaches Associations of America member. Attended NSCAA conventions in 200,2002,2004, and 2006. BRUSA International Soccer Institute "C" Coaches License. DC United Coaches Association member. USSF "D" License. In 2006 Coached a Delaware Select mens team in the Quetazlteca Cup against Xelaju MC Professional team from Guatemala at Wesley college Stadium. R.C.H. Sports Soccer Camp. Coached Brazilian style soccer For BRUSA. Camp coordinator for El Nino Soccer camp.

COACHS SPEED,NANDO,RU,AND CHRIS ATTENDED A CLINIC BY DC UNITED. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND LEARNED ALOT AND HAD A FINE DINNER. PICTURED WITH THE COACHES IS DC UNITED ASSITANT COACH CHAD ASHTON.
