Unfortunately a couple of walks and errors later the FRIARS found themselves down 3-1. The FRIARS went 1-2-3 in the bottom of the seventh and with the third out went their championship hopes.
Coach Newman's goal at the beginning of the year was to turn the program around and this year's team took the first step into making the FRIARS a championship team. Last year the team was 7-11 in league play. The FRIARS ended the regular season 11-7 in NSCHSAA games. Coach Newman and the rest of the staff look forward to next season with a talented class of juniors returning and current J.V. players who will make the jump to the varsity level next year.
Good luck seniors!
