FUY Academy Skills Training- Fall 2007
August 23, 2007 --
This Fall, the FUY Academy will offer the following training camp to club players:
- Goalkeeper training (Footwork, crossed & flighted balls, breakaways, collapse & extension diving, etc.)--- Every Friday night 6:00-7:00, Field 2b, Sep 14-Nov 16 (10 sessions)
This Academy Specialized Skills Camp is at no cost to teams or players and is simply an investment into advancing the skills of players and improving the overall teams. Each team is guaranteed 1 slot per training session for the training.
Additional training camps may be coordinated in the future (Agility tng, striker tng, etc.)
All reservations will be coordinated through coaches/team managers directly with Rich Weber, FUY/Director of Coaching.

FUY Academy Goalkeeper Training Resumes
FUY Academy Goalkeeper training will resume on Friday nights starting Jan 11th & run through mid May at 6:00 PM. This will be open to FUY team goalkeepers and recreational league goalkeepers as well to share training amongst the leagues. Please contact (richweber@earthlink.net) to coordinate a slot for this training.

FUY Academy In-House Soccer Teams Formed
The Flagler United Youth (FUY) Soccer Club announces the formation of its Youth Academy’s In-House Soccer Teams for the U8 Age group. The academy is dedicated to the teaching of the game of soccer in a safe and enjoyable environment for boys and girls. It is also a place for the children to learn from knowledgeable & certified soccer coaches and trainers to advance their individual skills. This In-House Academy league will be the foundation for building players skills and forming teams for future competitive teams within the Club.
The training in this league will focus on building individual player skills as well as advancing team play. The games will be concentrated on small-sided games of 3v3, 4v4 to get more players, more touches with the ball.
The FUY Academy will have sign-ups for the Fall 2008 U6 & U8 Academy program in May and will conduct camps, clinics and tournaments this summer. Please monitor this site for more details.

U5/U6 Ages: Wed- 5:00-6:00 PM
U7/U9 Ages: Wed- 6:15-7:30 PM
Striker Training (Cost: $40)
U9-U14: Mon- 6:00-7:15 PM
Goalkeeper Training (Cost: $40)
U9-U14: Fri- 6:00-7:15 PM

Fall- FUY Academy Skills Training
The FUY Academy will continue it's highly successful skills training this fall. This program is designed for players U6-U9 to be able to develop their technical skills by learning from experienced and professional soccer trainers. Our club trainers have professional soccer playing and coaching experience as well as matching high levels of certification within the game.
This program will be a two night per week training session where the players will learn to master the technical aspects of the game and learn the proper techniques that are so often neglected or taught wrong in recreational programs. It will not be focused on playing league games. However, if league games are an important focus for your player, we encourage them to also play in the local recreational league as well: www.fcys.net

AC Milan defeated Celtic FC by a score of 7-5 to claim the first FUY 3v3 Cup. Chelsea defeated Barcelona in penalty kicks to secure 3rd place.

U9/10 Boys Set to Begin Play in Inaugaral Summer 3v3 League

The inaugaral summer 3v3 league will begin its first season with play from four competitive U9/10 Boys teams. Named for international favorite teams, AC Milan, Barca, Celtic and Chelsea, they will each compete over the next five weeks for the league championship!!!
