Glendale Baseball Needs the Help of the Communiitty, Friends and Family
A letter from Coach Bell...
Dear Friends of Glendale Baseball:
As most of you know I have been a coach at all
levels in the Glendale baseball program for 23 years.
I now have the honor of being the Head Coach in the
school ball and Legion programs and am very excited
to help our kids be the best they can be. I wanted
to share with you the vision I have for the Glendale
program and improvements our facility. Glendale has a
reputation for being a top notch program and we have
winning records at all levels. Because school budgets
can not cover all the costs for school ball, the Legion
program has always worked closely to help financially
when we fall short. Legion funds help pay for field
maintenance, equipment, umpires, coaches, league fees
and insurance.
Legion players pay a significant fee to participate,
all parents volunteer at games and tournaments working

support numerous fund raising activities each year.
We need your help. Our facility lacks many of the
basics and is in need of major improvements. The next
page lists funds needed for renovation projects and
different levels of support.
As corny as it sounds… if we build it they will come.
The players, the fans, and the State Championships will
come to Glendale High School and continue to come year
after year. I am sending you this letter in hopes that
you will be able to help our program raise the money we
need to build the future of the Glendale High School
Baseball program. Please share this vision with others
that you think could contribute money, talents or
supplies to complete the renovation projects. We have
a large goal to meet and know that we can not do it
without the support of our community, our friends,
and our past, present and future player families.

Glendale Baseball Field Renovation Program
Dugouts – The old dugouts have been removed
and new improved dugouts with field equipment
storage, ice machine, electrical and water
supply in under construction. Many of the
materials have been donated or provided at cost.
Much of the labor has been provided by players
and dads.
Remaining funds needed…….$10,000.
Playing Field Improvements – Dirt fill around
construction area, spot sod and seeding, fencing
and batting cage repairs.
Funds needed………………….$10,000.
Concession Stand and Announcer/score keeper deck
– The current concession stand has no running
water, drainage or restrooms and very limited
space. A new facility will have restrooms with
running water for fans and players who currently
share a port-o-potty. The project is costly as
it includes a 400 foot sewage line. The players
will get in shape digging a 3½ foot deep, 2 foot
wide trench for the sewage.

Bleachers, backstops scoreboard repairs
Funds needed…………………..$50,000.

“Platinum Patron plaque” very visible at
the entrance of the field and in the outfield.
Other contribution levels are welcome. Special
recognition and facility naming will thank a
“diamond” gift that covers the majority of our
renovation needs. Gifts can be accepted in memory
of a loved one or anonymously.
