1. The GJ's are collecting canned foods for Canstruction and the canned food drive that GHS sponsors every year. The girls will receive 1 merit for every 5 cans of food they bring. Cans must be turned in by December 5th and volunteers are needed to help with Canstruction on that day.
2. The Winter Clinic is on Saturday, December 12th at Garland HS from 8:30am-5:30pm. The cost is $15 for the clinic. We pre-order lunch from Chick Fil-A for the girls who would like one. The cost for lunch is an additional $6. I will collect money for the clinic and lunches throughout next week and the last day to pay is December 10th. We will decide as a team what to wear to the clinic and I will send out a reminder e-mail a couple of days before the clinic. This is a mandatory even, per Mrs. Baez; the girls will learn their routines for basketball season and will be tested on these routines as part of their mid-term exam grade.
3. Starting again in January, we will practice Wednesday afternoons at GHS. Practices will continue through May.
4. We will perform at 3 or 4 or 5 JV basketball games at GHS. The games are on Fridays and begin at 4:30pm. We will meet at 4:00pm and are typically finished about 6:00pm.
5. Please mark your calendars for Jan 8, 15, 22, 29, and Feb 5. (There will not be any additional performance dates, but we many not perform at all five of these games. Final decisions will be made after Winter Clinic and final exams.)
