    January 4, 2008  --   At the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) National Convention on Friday January 4th in Philadelphia, Pa., Coach Rascher was awarded the 2007 NJCAA Division III Region 20 Coach Of The Year. Coach Rascher was also the 2006 NJCAA Division III Region 20 Coach Of The Year.

Rawlings Announces First-Ever Rawlings Gold Glove Awards for College and High School Student-Athletes Inaugural Programs Part of Award’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2007 ST. LOUIS (Sept. 11, 2007) – The Rawlings Gold Glove has been the standard for outstanding defensive play in the Major Leagues for a half century. In honor of its 50th anniversary, Rawlings and the American Baseball Coaches Association are proud to announce that the Rawlings Gold Glove AwardÆ is now awarded at the collegiate and high school levels. “We are excited to be reaching out to college and high school student-athletes and offering them the opportunity to receive a Rawlings Gold Glove Award, which for 50 years has been the greatest measurement of defensive excellence in baseball,” said Rawlings President and General Manager Robert Parish. “This is something that never has been done before. We believe it’s time to recognize defensive excellence at all levels of the game, and the award’s 50th anniversary is the perfect time to begin doing just that.” The collegiate and high school Rawlings Gold Glove Awards are awarded to nine players at each of the following levels: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III players, NAIA players, Junior College Division I players, and high school players. Winners were announced during each division’s post-season tournaments.
