FIELD COVERAGE FOR 2008 GVAA MEMORIAL DAY TOURNAMENT
TO DISTRICT & TOURNAMENT MANAGERS:
BABE RUTH RABINOWITZ- ADAMS 15A & TIERNO 14A
GIANGUILIO - CAMERON 13A & PARRY 13B
VMS - Parry 13B - only one game there
MAJORS- HAGENMAN 12A, SHULIK 12B
WOODEN- CARUSO 11A, WYSOCKI 11B
WHITE- SKOWRONEK 10A, LYNCH 10B
CRICKET- HUDAK 9A, STAUFFER 9B

To GVAA Managers/Coaches/Parents:
If you are assigned to field coverage for the Memorial Day Tournament, please follow the following guidelines. Also, please read the tournament rules which can be found on our menu on the left of the memorial day website - see link below to website.
* Two volunteers per team for each field assignment. Requirements are prior to your assigned games.
* The field must be prepared one hour before the first game of the day and ASAP thereafter.
Preparation includes:
* Raking or dragging the fields
* Painted outfield lines, chalked foul lines and batters box
* Lining the fields, watering the infields at Rabinowitz
* On the Wooden and Majors fields, prepare mound & bases for the appropriate division - 12A, 12B and 11A play 50/70. All other divisions play 46/60.
* Setting up the scoreboard where applicable
* Acting as the official GVAA representative at these games: which includes starting the games on time, coin flip to determine home or away, reporting scores after the games and also reporting any issues back to the Board member in charge at that time.
* All scores are to be called in to Diane Mintzer at 609-760-1247 after the game. Make sure that each manager has a Scorecard to fill out the pitch count and score of the game to also be turned in to Diane Mintzer. The Scorecard document can be found on the left side menu of this website.
* Making sure everything is shut down, scoreboard put away & all lights turned off at end of last game.
* Covering with tarp at end of last game (if rain is expected, if not mound is to be covered) - John Tyrrell will make this call on use of tarps each night.
* Making sure field and dugouts are kept clean.
