UNIFORM BULLETIN: USING LAST YEAR'S ! August 30, 2009 --
At the last minute, I was notified that Adidas has discontinued
our uniform line. We have bought up every remaining item
that we can, enough to supply new players & those who
have simply outgrown their last year's shirt., but not
enough for everyone, or folks that don't feel like looking for
last year's, or those who just feel entitled to it.
Uniforms for preK, K, 1st-2nd grades are unaffected &
will be new, including socks for preK & K for the 1st time.
Coaches for preK, K & 1st - 2nd grade teams will also
get T shirts of team color & will be awfully cute.
So PLEASE: FIND THOSE SNAZZY UNIFORM SHIRTS FROM LAST YEAR !
AND SOCKS !
Next year we'll be ordering new style for everyone.
Thanks in advance for your patience & cooperation.

FALL 2009 SEASON: WHAT TO EXPECT June 28, 2009 - 01:01 PM --
Haworth Soccer will be working with Red Bulls, a professional youth soccer coaching organization to provide training and skills to our players throughout the season, coordinating with team practices.
Games for girls grades 3-8 will be Saturday afternoons, and boys grades 1-8 Sunday afternoons. Girls games gr 1-2 will be Saturday mornings at Haworth School or Wakeleed Field in Demarest. Boys gr 1-2 games same locations, Sunday afternoons. This year we plan soccer skills session for Kindergarten with the Mayor at 1pm - 2pm Sundays at Memorial Field in Haworth, followed by optional very small sided games at 2pm at an adjacent field. Pre-K soccer will be 2pm to 3pm Sundays at Memorial Field.
There are no additional practices for K and Pre-K. Practices for the older grades 1-8 will be arranged with coaches and trainers during the week for everyone's maximum convenience, with professional soccer trainers.
1st weekend of games will be after Labor Day, probably Sept 12/13. Soccer opening ceremonies planned for noon Sunday Sept 13. Season will end before Thanksgiving in November.
Teams will be chosen before or around Labor day, and the coaches will contact all the players by phone or email.
Good luck, contact us if any further questions at: haworthsoccer@aol.com

SCHEDULES FOR K & PREK FOR FALL 2008: until mid November
K - - Sundays except 10/12 1pm at Memorial Field. (Columbus weekend OFF)

Equipment: shorts or sweats, shin guards, red/preK or blue/K shirts we provide, sneakers or cleats and WATER.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ! July 31, 2008 - 05:28 PM --
HI ! Looking for volunteers to help coach, especially our youngest grades
1 and 2 boys and girls teams (they are in separate leagues). The girls have been playing saturday mornings, and the boys mostly sunday afternoons. Some soccer experience is nice, but not necessary. We plan to have professional soccer coaches work with the children at practices
(times/days not yet set -- weekday afternoons, coaches attendance not
absolutely required) and instruct the coaches as well.
Its a great way to get involved with kids and their parents, and get
outside in the fall. Interested? send email to "labsx1@aol.com" and we'll get in touch.
AUGUST 1 2008 : REGISTRATION ALERT ! July 31, 2008 - 05:28 PM --
Haworth Soccer registration is going well, but I still suspect there are many kids out there who would like to play but are not yet signed up. Late registrations can be havoc; we are already ordering uniforms and setting up teams and schedules. Unless you are newly moved in to our fair village, registration fees will be going up sharply in the next few days. So please don't delay, and look forward to seeing you all!
PRE-SEASON CAMP / August 25-29 mon-fri 9-12N
PRE SEASON SOCCER CAMP / AUGUST 25-29 / MON-FRI / 9am - 12 NOON
In late summer, Haworth Soccer will again be sponsoring a pre-season
soccer camp for boys and girls from 1st to eighth grades. The camp
will be run by our new partners in coaching, U K Elite, a respected,
experienced, and well referenced soccer training organization, who
will also be providing training for our Rec Soccer teams during the
fall season. They promise us top training, good fun, a soccer ball
and camp shirt, here in town at Memorial Field, for $150 for the
whole week's session.
A LINK IS PROVIDED ON OUR WEBSITE TO REGISTER FOR THE CAMP,
and all are welcome. Please go the the LINKS section of this
web page on the left of the page, find UK Elite, and follow
instructions to "BOOK IT". Can contact labsx1@aol.com if
having problems.
2008 - 2009 REGISTRATION will start April 2 , 2008 ONLINE
2008 - 2009 REGISTRATION will start April
2, 2008 ONLINE !
Fees have been
REDUCED from 2007-8. Please note that after July 1, 2008, fees go up by
$25 / player, and after August 1, 2008 by $50 / player.
We need to have registration
completed well before the season starts to make fair teams of the proper size, order
uniforms (NEW STYLE !) and equipment, and schedule games. Many towns in the
valley close registration and late comers just don't play.
Haworth Soccer is committed
to having all kids play who want to play!
Registration for the
one week (at the end of summer) soccer camp with pro coaches is completely
separate from Haworth Soccer registration, and is done via the link to UK Elite
( go to LINKS
on the left side of this web page)
