Packer Weekly post
The Packer Weekly Post
Play off edition
Packer family we made it. Two of our teams will be representing us in the KMFC Superbowl this Sunday November 1st. Kick off time for the Peewee game is 11:00 a.m., with the Pony game right after. The road was not easy - our boys had to battle every step of the way and they have earned the respect of being on the team to beat. Last week’s final round was off the chain to say the least…
We started off with the Peewee’s hosting Red Land on their home field. I don’t think the Red Land fans were too happy about that, but they found out why the number one seed took over their stands. They came out early and shocked the shiggady out of us with a score on the opening play of the game. But it was Butts, Johns, Wilkerson and the Peewee “D” that took over from there. This post is not long enough to give you a play by play and I still have to shout out the Ponies and the Smurfs, but just know that the boys got busy. Final score 20-13.
The Pony game was a defensive struggle the entire game. They played with our emotions for four quarters, and then had the nerve took take us into overtime. That is when hearts stopped beating - after making the first touchdown and the extra point to go ahead 7 – 0. Our Ponies who held up defensively all game let the Eagles score. Now everybody knows what’s comin’ next - the kicking block. Yes - Cumberland Valley the team that grows kickers sent their boy out to finish us off. I’m thinking okay - well at least the Peewees made it this far. LOL!! Here comes the snap, the holder sets it up and the kick is up and blocked! What the heck just happened! TwyNique Chisholm blocked the kick. Yoseph, his dad who many people think jumped the fence was on the field so fast with the rest of our fans it was crazy! Game over - we win 7 to 6. I can’t take any more of that. Those who were there know what I mean………
Earlier in the day our babies, that’s right I said our babies, the Smurfs had a dog fight over at Stoney Ridge Park with guess who….. Red Land. They just won’t go away - it took all we had and a touchdown run from Donte’ “Clark” Kent “our superman” to win this one. I hope he is feeling better and ready for the big game this Saturday with Susquehanna 10:00 a.m. kick off time. Final score 6-0. After we give them their spaking it’s on to the Smurf Superbowl at the same location 6:00 p.m. with the winner of the Holy Name vs. Swatara game. Let’s all come out and support our team. The Smurfs want to have a “yellow out” so wear your Smurf yellow to show your support. We have a full Saturday of Packer football and the Superbowl on Sunday - enjoy! Let’s get out and support all of our teams and Cheerleaders……….
