2008 County Champ----AGAIN!
Congratulations to both the Varsity and Junior Varsity team on their second consecutive County Championship!

2008 Region Dual Champion's
Congratulations to the Hiram Hornet Wrestling team for bringing home the Region Dual Champsionship for the 2nd time. They all did a GREAT JOB!

State Dual Tournament in Macon
The schedule for this weekend's State Dual's tournament in Macon:

INFORMATION was sent home with each wrestler Tuesday.
Wrestlers will leave on Thursday at 2pm from Hiram High School. (Three sets of parents will be in Macon on Thursday night!)

Hotel is located off 475 at exit 5.
There are 9 rooms reserved for the wrestling team and parents that are going down on Thursday evening. If any parent wants a room for Friday evening, please call and make your OWN reservations. Please inform the hotel that you are there for the wrestling tournament and they should give you the rate of $49.99 plus tax.
Weigh-in starts at 6pm on Thursday.

Tradional State - Parent information
The wrestling team will have practice this week from 10am - 12noon Monday thru Wednesday.
The team will be leaving on Wednesday at 2pm from the school.
Due on TUESDAY - 2/19/08 - The hotel cost for the tournament will be $80.00 per wrestler for the four days. This includes the $10.00 per wrestler for the team cooler. This should be brought to the coach by Tuesday! This $80.00 does not include meals...so send your child with enough to cover eating for the 4 days. (The hotel will be providing breakfast.)
The team will be staying at the Comfort Suites - Gwinnett Place located at 3700 Shackleford Road, Duluth, GA 30096. The phone number is 770-931-9299.
The rooms already reserved are for the TEAM only. If you plan on staying, please call the hotel TODAY to make a reservation.

Varsity:
PLEASE NOTE - A bus will be transporting the team to the tournament on Friday and Saturday MORNING. It is the parent's responsibility to transport their children back from the tournament on Saturday evening.
Friday:
4 pm: Depart for Sequoyah (Meet at the school)
5pm: Arrive @ Sequoyah
6: Wrestling begins
10: Depart for Hiram
Saturday
6am: Meet @ Hiram (Meet at the school)

2007 Hornet Wrestlers take 1st in County Championships!

The Hornets dominated the County Championships this year by a wide margin.

2007 Hornets Start a New Tradition Taking 1st In Region!

Our 2007 Hornets are on their way to state after taking first in the Region Duals held in Newnan.

Hornets Dominate Traditional Tournament- 11 Headed to State!
February 10, 2007 --
Congratulations to the Hornet Wrestling team on their first ever traditional region title. The Hornets had 10 region finalists(another record)with seven wrestlers taking home the gold. The 2007 Hiram High Hornets scored the most points in their region history with 217 points.
