MAKE-UP GAMES SAT, MAY 16, 2009

(8-2) Broncos 38 vs. (6-4) Panthers 12
The Broncos wanted to make a statement before entering the playoffs and they did that by thrashing the Panthers 38-12 in Lake Charles. The Panthers never had a chance says the score above. Broncos and Panthers both finish in the #2 spot in the Lone Star/Bayou conferences.

(7-3) Patriots 28 vs. (2-8) Knights 22
The Patriots took off in the first half scoring 20 points on the Knights. But the Knights kicked in that tough defense and air attack to rally up 22 points then the time ran out for the Knights. The Patriots scored again to take the #1 spot in the Lone Star conference with a 28-22 victory over the #4 seed Knights.

***TLSWFA MVP for WEEK 10***

WEEK 10 RESULTS- MAY 9, 2009
***TLSWFA MVP for WEEK 9***
MVP for week 9 is #81 Brady "The Baller" Bobb-DT, 12 solo tackles, 5 sacks, 4 tackles for a loss of down, 2 Forced fumbles, 1 Fumble recovery in a Cardinals 18-12 OT victory over the Knights.

***TLSWFA GAME of the Week***
(7-3) Eagles 36 vs. (7-2) Broncos 18
Once again another one bits the dust of the upsetting Eagles. The Broncos did not have enough power to stop the Eagles offense or defense in a 36-18 loss. Both teams are fighting for home field advantage for the playoffs. It will be determined after the Broncos vs. Panthers games May 16th.

(2-6) Knights 20 vs. (6-3) Panthers 12
The Panthers rolled into Dallas, Texas for the final regular season game to get another victory. The Knights said "Whoop there it is" taking a 20-12 victory away from the Panthers. The Knights had a talk with Kirk Franklin before the game and he told the team " IT AIN'T OVER, IT AIN'T OVER".

(8-2) Hurricanes 10 vs. (5-4) Cardinals 8
The Hurricanes left a few key players in Lafayette but they brought the right ones that counted for the 10-8 victory over the Cardinals. What a great game between two competitive teams is the TLSWFA but someone had to win and someone had to lose, the Hurricanes came out victorious. The Canes have now taking the overall #1 seed in the league and the Bayou Conference division.

(4-6) Roadrunners 6 vs. (1-9) Bulldogs 0
The Roadrunners get a forfeit win over the Bulldogs. The Roadrunners have clinched the 4th playoff seed in the Bayou Conference.

(6-2) Patriots 6 vs. (0-9) Heat 0
The Patriots get a forfeit win over the Heat. After this long season Vernon said we will take another win and rest before the playoffs.

Sorry so late.........

WEEK 10- MAY 9, 2009
***TLSWFA GAME of the Week***
LOUISIANA EAGLES vs. PLAQUMINE PARISH BRONCOS

WEEK 9 RESULTS- MAY 2, 2009
***TLSWFA MVP for WEEK 9***
LOUISIANA EAGLES OFFENSE with 10 TD's on the Spring Heat Defense

***TLSWFA GAME of the Week***
(6-2) Eagles 26 vs. (7-2) Hurricanes 20
These Eagles week in and week out are getting better and better. Wow what a major upset against the 2008 defending champions the Louisiana Hurricanes 26-20. After a offensive MVP week 9 they may need to put their defense up for week 10. What a game!

(6-2) Panthers 22 vs. (0-8) Heat 14
The Panthers rolled into Houston, Texas for the second week to get another victory over the Spring Heat 22-14. The heat took the lead but just could not hold up their end to get the victory. Maybe next week the Heat will get a win.

(5-3) Cardinals 18 vs. (1-6) Knights 12 (OT)
After a nasty thunderstorm, the Cardinals and the Knights took the field to kickoff another rivalry game in South Dallas. The Cardinals scored first then Knights score, Cardinals scored again and the Knights scored again to tie the game. In overtime the Cardinals had more enery from playing in the rain all season long to take a 18-12 victory over the Texas Knights.

(7-1) Broncos 12 vs. (3-6) Roadrunners 6 (OT)
On March 21, 2009 these two teams meet up for the first time in the 2009 season with the Broncos winning 12-6 in overtime. DA-JA-VU the Broncos fought hard to win this rivalry said owner Henry. We always play a hard game against the Roadrunners and we pulled another 12-6 overtime victory over their heads.

(5-2) Patriots 6 vs. (1-8) Bulldogs 0
The Patriots get a forfeit win over the Bulldog. After this long season Vernon said we need a break.

WEEK 9- MAY 2, 2009
***TLSWFA GAME of the Week***
LOUISIANA EAGLES vs. LOUISIANA HURRICANES

WEEK 8 RESULTS- APRIL 25, 2009
***TLSWFA MVP for WEEK 8***
Houston Cardinals FS/SS Damien Terry

***TLSWFA GAME of the Week***
(5-2) PANTHERS 18 vs. (5-3) CARDINALS 12
The Panthers made a load roar in the 2nd half scoring 18 points and holding the Cardinals to no points to get a 18-12 victory. Both teams need to draft a kicker with a total of 5 TD's and no extra points made. Them "Mean"Panthers made those "Dirty Birds" Cardinals fly way with a loss.

(5-3) Eagles 63 vs. (0-7) Heat 33
Let's see 63 + 33 = 96 points in a football game wow. This sounds like a women's basketball game score. The Eagles flew into Spring, Texas and dropped several I mean several TD's on the Heat. This is the most points score in a game by the Eagles and the most total points score by two teams this season. What a game!

(4-3) Patriots 54 vs. (1-5) Knights 8
"Ain't no stopping us now", Patriots' are not playing any more games with any team that steps in their way. With a 54-8 beat-down over the Knights the are making a run for the #1 seed in the Lone Star Conference. What a powerhouse performance against the Knights!

(7-1) Hurricanes 26 vs. (3-5) Roadrunners 13
The Hurricanes are on their way to another successful season with another victory over the Roadrunners 26-13. The Hurricanes are a well disciplined team and continue to showcase their talent every week. This will be one of the teams to watch in the playoffs.

(6-1) Broncos 6 vs. (1-7) Bulldogs 0
The Broncos get a forfeit win over the Bulldogs. This is called a "FREE-BEE" for the TLSWFA's #2 team in the league.

WEEK 7 RESULTS- APRIL 18, 2009
***TLSWFA MVP for week 7***
TBA Later

***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
(4-3) Eagles 18 vs. (2-4) Roadrunners 0
Game of the week and the Eagles did their thing, but the last time I checked Easter weekend was last weekend right?! Why are the Eagles still hiding eggs on their home field because in the Roadrunners game report the score was Eagles 18 to Roadrunners 0 "goose egg". Just want to let everyone know that Easter is over and we're getting ready for Mother's Day.

(5-2) Cardinals 13 vs (3-3) Patriots 6
The longest game in the history for Minor League Football ended in a Cardinals 13-6 victory over the "Comeback Kings" Patriots. This game began with a Houston thunderstorm/flooding to a Woman's Pro football game on the same playing field to a must finish game that ended at 1:45am with about 2 half-times. A total disaster on game day, but this is how the TLSWFA makes the impossible games possible to be played out no mater what conditions. Both teams are at home still in the bed after the outstanding "HARD HARD GROWN MAN HITTING" defensive game Saturday/Sunday game. It must have been the women playing football?

(1-3) Knights vs. (0-6) Heat
An unfinished game due to the weather but the final results will be out to you as soon as possible. Stay tuned "it ain't over it ain't over, stomp" beat you can't name the artist?

(6-1) Hurricanes 6 vs. (1-6) Bulldogs 0
Hurricanes get a forfeit win over the Bulldogs. This is called an extended Easter weekend break for the TLSWFA's #1 team in the league.

(5-1) Broncos vs. (4-2) Panthers
Both teams are scheduled to play May 16, 2009 in Lake Charles due to stormy weather in Mr. Charles' lake on Saturday evening.

WEEK 8- APRIL 25, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
Houston Cardinals vs. Lake Charles Panthers

WEEK 6 RESULTS- APRIL 4, 2009

The TLSWFA MVP selection is #55 Jashun (The Beast) Gillium- DT:
3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 forced fumbles for a defensive TD, 6 solo tackles-5 tackles for loss of yards and the game ball after a 35-12 victory over Spring Heat.

***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
(5-1) Hurricanes 24 vs. (5-1) Broncos 12
The Defending 2008 Champions are back on the map after giving the use-to-be undefeated Broncos their first lost on Saturday. The tricky Hurricanes offense used their magic stick against the defense of the Broncos leaving 24 points in the city of Regis and Kelly week. To find out what city watch Regis and Kelly show in the morning.

(4-2) Cardinals 35 vs. (0-6) Heat 12
Cardinals with home field advantage put 35 points on the board! 35 POINTS, with the help of their scoreless offense. 30 POINTS was score on the Heat by the Cardinals offense and 5 extra points by the shortest kicker in the league. Did the Cardinals really have a game Saturday, if not someone please call the league office and give the true score?...........LOL

(3-2) Patriots 21 vs. (4-2) Panthers 8
Someone may want to call Vernon Mills, owner of the Patriots to find out what bus company that they have been traveling on the last two weeks leaving 20's in both cities. This bus line may help some teams put some extra points on the board on the road; as the Patriots pumped 21-8 into the Lake of Lake Charles Panthers.

(2-3) Roadrunners 18 vs. (1-4) Knights 0
Since the last unfinished meeting with these two teams in Dallas, Texas; we have more trouble in the city of Regis and Kelly week as the Roadrunners met up with the Knights. After that being said, the Roadrunners cheerleaders danced for the Knights as they travelled 8 hours back to Dallas thinking about the Roadrunners 18-0 victory.

(3-3) Eagles 15 vs. (1-5) Bulldogs 8
The Eagles are the only team with a rating of .500 in the TLSWFA. This is a major deal because they can win 2 more games and they can lose 2 games, and still be at .500 at the end of the season, still make the playoffs and play for a championship or a bowl game! Anybody under .500 may not want to lose anymore games. Just a food for thought! Bulldogs didn't have enough energy to fly pass the Eagles in their 15-8 lose Saturday.

WEEK 7 - APRIL 18, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
LOUISIANA EAGLES vs. LA WESTBANK ROADRUNNERS

WEEK 5 - MARCH 28, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
(4-1) Hurricanes 34 vs. (3-2) Cardinals 7
In a 3rd year rivalry game the Cardinals felt the aftermath of the Hurricanes. The Defense and the Offense of the Hurricanes did not give the Cardinals any I mean any breathing room. INT after INT after INT after INT and TD after TD after TD after TD to leave the Cardinals Offense and Defense with a what just happen look on their faces after a 34-7 beat-down.

(4-1) Panthers 28 vs. (1-2) Knights 12
The Panthers took no prisoners lightly on Saturday when the Coach of year James Blackshire and the Texas Knights rolled into Lake Charles, LA. The Panthers held the Knights to only 12 points and score 28 points to get the victory. Knights may have lost but Candy Lewis put plenty of food in their belly on the way home after the game.

(5-0) Broncos 41 vs. (2-3) Eagles 14
Who really wants to get in front of this large fast moving stampede of Broncos? Another 40+ points put on the scoreboard Saturday in the New Orleans area by the Broncos. Does this team have 2009 Champs written on their jersey's? The Eagles ran out of gas after scoring only 14 points in a 41-14 loss against the Broncos. Broncos are at home this weekend in a game 2 against the Hungry Hurricanes in the NO,LA.

(2-2) Patriots 20 vs. (0-5) Heat 0
Spring Heat had no answer when the Patriots arrived in Spring, Texas on a big bus before kickoff. Patriots got off the big bus, got dress, got on the field, got into the Spring Heat butt's, got back on the big bus while the Heat was still staring at the big bus. Patriots scored 20 points and the Heat scored 0 only because the Heat didn't know the game had started while they where staring at the big bus.

(1-4) Bulldogs 28 vs. (1-3) Roadrunners 20
The Blazin' Bulldogs said enough with the 0-4 record, it's time to bounce back and let the TLSWFA know that "we ain't going nowhere we can't be stop now we Bulldogs for life" with a 28-20 victory over the Roadrunners. The Roadrunners came to a dead-end and the Bulldogs finished the race to the end.

TLSWFA WEEK 6- GAME of THE WEEK
PLAQUMINE PARISH BRONCOS VS. LOUISIANA HURRICANES

WEEK 4 - MARCH 21, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week****
(1-2) Patriots 20 vs. (0-4) Bulldogs 18
The Twin City Patriots said "NO NO NO NO NO" not tonight we are going to put the Blaze out of the LA Blazin' Bulldogs in the game of the week. A hard battle fought to the end but the Patriots won the fight with a 20-18 victory.

(3-1) Panthers 48 vs. (0-4) Heat 22
The Spring Heat brought the Texas Heat to Lake Charles until the sun went down. At Halftime the Panthers said "enough is enough and too much stinks" pulled out a few fans plug them in the sockets and cooled down the Heat with a 48-22 victory. The Panthers are now in charge of the Lone Star Conference.

(3-1) Hurricanes 46 vs. (2-2) Eagles 20
A long term rivalry between the LA Hurricanes vs. LA Eagles will never end. These two teams love to beat up on each other like two brothers with the same toy but one has lost his toy so now they begin the first battle over this toy. The Hurricanes were in their own field spinning when the Eagles flew onto their land. Feathers went flying everywhere; but the Hurricanes found 46 and the Eagles found 20 feathers when the twister stopped.

(4-0) Broncos 12 vs. (1-2) Roadrunners 6 OT
Plaqumine Parish Broncos is the only TLSWFA undefeated team left this season. The LA Westbank Roadrunners almost shattered that mirror. The Roadrunners had the sling shots but didn't have enough stones to take out the mean angry giant Broncos in a 12-6 overtime defeat. Can anybody, anywhere out there stop this Giant because it's a beast????????

(3-1) Cardinals 7 vs. (1-1) Knights 2
Many football people say that offense wins games and defense wins championships!
On Saturday both offenses lost the game but the stingy un-scored on Houston Cardinals defense score 6 points on a Dallas Knights offense. The very spooky game went as followed Knights defense stole 2 points from the Cardinals offense which upset the Cardinals defense, so the Cardinals defense stole 6 points from the Knights offense.
Therefore, both teams offense should have stayed at home and the game would have been a tie ball game.

WEEK 5 - MARCH 28, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
(3-1) Louisiana Hurricanes vs. (3-1) Houston Cardinals

WEEK 3 - MARCH 14, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
(2-1)Eagles 17 vs. (0-3)Heat 8

The LA Eagles took advantage of home field with a 17-8 victory over the Spring Heat. The Eagles said "who wants to lose a game on the game of the week"! Defense stepped their game up to hold the Heat to only 8 points. It is getting very hot in Spring!

(3-0) Broncos 19 vs. (0-3) Bulldogs 0

The only undefeated team in the TLSWFA Parish Broncos traveled to the LA Bulldogs house and took over in the rain. Broncos scored 19 points and their defense left a goose egg at the home of the Bulldogs. Who will be the first to defeat the Broncos?

(2-1) Hurricanes 19 vs. (1-1) Roadrunners 0

The Westbank Roadrunners suffered their first lost against the Hungry LA Hurricanes 19-0. Their was another goose egg found in New Orleans at the home of the Roadrunners and the Hurricanes defense said they were the ones who left the egg.

(2-1) Panthers 8 vs. (2-1) Cardinals 6

The Lake Charles Panthers defense took the life out of the H-Town Cardinals offense in a 4th quarter score and 2pt conversion to take a 8-0 lead on a fumble return. The Cardinals #1 defense is still keeping points off the board but wasn't enough help for the offense to get their 3 victory.

(1-0) Texas Knights vs. (0-2) Twin City Patriots game has been rescheduled to April 11, 2009 due to bad weather in Dallas, Texas on Sat, March 14, 2009.

WEEK 4 - MARCH 21, 2009
***TLSWFA Game of the Week***
Twin City Patriots vs. LA Blazin' Bulldogs

WEEK 2 - MARCH 7, 2009
*** TLSWFA Game of the Week ***
(2-0)Broncos 54 vs. (1-1)Panthers 12

There was a stampede of wild Plaqumine Parish Broncos in Louisiana when a few Lake Charles Panthers rolled into their city Saturday night. Broncos are now 2-0 with the 54-12 win over the Panthers.

(1-1)Hurricanes 26 vs. (0-2)Bulldogs 20 (OT)

The 2008 defending TLSWFA Champions Louisiana Hurricanes on the road in another close battle defeated the LA Blazin' Bulldogs in overtime. The champs showed their talent on the road in a tight race and pullout the victory.

(1-0)Roadrunners 19 vs. (1-1) Eagles 16

It was a very tight rivalry game, the visiting Louisiana Eagles were down 19-6 but didn't have enough power to come back to defeat the LA Westbank Brothers. Look out for that Eagles defense next time.

(1-0)Knights 14 vs. (0-2)Heat 6

Spring Heat maybe 0-2 but it want be long before they get there first victory. The Texas Knights escaped a tight game on the road but the heat brought the spring heat to the game.

(2-0)Cardinals 6 vs. (0-2)Patriots 0

The angel's wings must have been with the Houston Cardinals on the road for another weekend. The stingy defense of the Cardinals would not let the hungry Twin City Patriots get into the end zone leaving a goose egg in Alexandria, La.

WEEK 1 - FEBRUARY 28, 2009
*** TLSWFA Game of the Week ***

Hurricanes 7 vs. Broncos 13

The 2008 defending TLSWFA Champions Louisiana Hurricanes at home in a close battle was defeated by the Plaquimine Parish Broncos 13 - 7.

Blazin Bulldogs 2 - Louisiana Eagles 8

It was a very tight game until the 4th quarter. The visiting Louisiana Eagles were down 0-2 but came back to defeat the Blazin' Bulldogs 8-2.

Spring Heat 6 vs. Houston Cardinals 13

A tough fight was fought from kickoff until the end of the 4th quarter, but the visiting Houston Cardinals defeated the Spring Heat 13-6.

Twin City Partriots 15 vs. Lake Charles Panthers 26

The home team Twin City Patriots were up 15-7 at the half, but the Lake Charles Panthers jumped on the back of Jack Frost and road him to a 26-15 victory.

Dallas Knights 26 vs. Louisiana Westbank Roadrunners 13

Some unfinished business was left in Dallas. This game may be taken to the New Orleans on April 4th or May 16th to finish the remaining time on the clock. The home team Texas Knights were up 26-13 with the ball and a first down when the lights to the stadium went out in the 4th quarter with 6:40 remaining on the clock.......... to be continued.

WEEK 3 - MARCH 14, 2009

*** TLSWFA Game of the Week ***

Louisiana Eagles vs Spring Heat

Cardinal family and friends,

Emma, Olivia, Keith and I will tell our story about what happened to Max at the hands of Pet Smart last Friday. Our hope is that this will not happen to another beloved dog and their family. Take the time to Google “pet smart killed my dog” and see how many horrifying stories there are out their. Ours is not the first but we hope to be the last. If you are moved by what has happened we hope that you will honor Max and never step foot in Pet Smart again. Take it a step further and let them know that in honor of Max Cohn you will never go to their stores! The laws in Texas are that your dog is worth only replacement value just like a piece of furniture. Pet Smarts negligence killed Max. He died a brutal death on the 610 freeway hit several times by cars. TX Dot literally had to scrape him off the highway. For their unspeakable negligence they have offered our family $600. No amount of money or another dog could every replace our “Superman”. Pet Smart says that is their policy giving only the internet value of a dog and they are sticking by it, calling us unreasonable!

Spread the word and let’s make a difference in honor of Max!

Houston Cardinals Semi Pro Football and Cheer
March 6, 2010 - 07:00 PM --   Our team will be people going in the same direction, at the same time, for one purpose. Teamwork is the key, and being a team player is most important. We will communication at all times and learn together. It is hard to do some things alone, but it’s better to have one or more people to help you along the way. We are role models for the future.

The BYF Houston Cardinals Sports Association is Houston’s newest semi-professional football organization. The kick-off pre-season begins January 30, 2010, with a 14-game schedule over a five- month period. The team’s objective is to promote the fundamentals of football to an environment that encourages extracurricular activities within our community. The team make-up will involve an active roster of 65 players along with cheerleaders, coaches, and staff.

President/Founder of the BYF HCSA, Christopher M. Boykins envisioned starting his own team from the positive experience of coaching another semi-professional team within the Houston metroplex. A native Houstonian, Boykins’s association will be an avenue for players, around the nation, to advance to other professional leagues such as the NFL, AFL, CFL and AAFL.

With eight home games, the Cardinals plan to produce televised and radio broadcasts of each game hosted. During these transmissions, our sponsored partners will be given advertisement slots to further promote their organization allowing exposure to their marketing campaign. Our goal with in our team is to create another opportunity for companies to prove the philanthropic participation in the community. With each sponsor organization, the Cardinals will establish a bridge between company and community recognition for the potential target groups.
