THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT SEASON!
November 7, 2009 --
It's not about the whistle or the uniform you wear,
It's more about the sportsmanship and values that you share.
It's stressing skills and teamwork over victory and fame,
Why coach?
It's for the player's and because you love the game!
Thanks to all the volunteers that make the HPSC the best that it can be.
Hope to see you all in the spring! - K. Fenlon

Thunder and Lightning Policy
All Coaches, players and parents are reminded that the first sign of thunder or lightning mandates that all soccer activity be shutdown. Participants should find shelter in buildings or motor vehicles and remain there for at least 30 minutes beyond the last rumble of thunder or final bolt of lightning. There are no exceptions to this rule. The HPSC Wantage Township, Sussex Boro and our insurer expect this safety policy to be honored at all times.

Field Clean Up & SLOW DOWN!!!
August 17, 2009 --
Wantage Township and Sussex Boro has asked us to help keep our parks and recreational facilities clean by picking up after games and practices. DO NOT PUT YOUR GARBAGE IN THE PORT-A-JOHNS! If you are caught you will be fined!
There are a lot of cars and children using the township's facilities at this time... So please be extra cautious and SLOW DOWN - especially in Woodbourne Park!

10 Ways to Know You Are Too Wrapped Up in Your Child's Sport
-You want to be an official of your child's sport because you believe that you can make better calls than the referees.
-You have your child practicing every night at home until after dark.
-During your child's game, you start talking about games when you were a kid.
-You start calling players on other teams names and make calls or noises when they're trying to focus.
-You call players on your child's team names or make calls or comments, hoping they'll mess up so that your child receives more playing time.
-You coach your child's team and let your kid play more than others because you think they are better than anyone else on the team.
-You make your child cry before, during or after a game by your actions or comments towards them.
-Your child wants to quit playing and you want to keep coaching, telling he/she's a quitter or a loser.
-You encourage your child to play with an injury or illness, telling them that their a loser or weak if they don't.
