Welcome to another great year of Sooner Football !! I will give recaps of all of our games on this page.
Practice is going good so far. Keep drinking lots of water.

Great job tonight by everyone at Opening Night. Thanks for coming out and hopefully everyone had a great time. Our team won 2nd in the Tug-of-War and 4th in the Relay race. Collin won 4th in the Speed contest. Corey won the Passing contest ( he was the only thrower to hit the 5 point target ). BT tied for 2nd in the same event. Josh took 2nd in the Kickoff and Punt contest, and Brennan took 3rd in both of those same events. Let's be ready for tomorrow's action. It was awesome for former Sooner favorite DJ Wolfe to hang with us and play around. BOOMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job in the scrimmages today boys. Against the Chargers this morning we dominated on the defensive side. They had one long run but we took care of that with an oskie ( interception ) by Dylan. Only 2 or 3 plays other than that one long run made anything more than five yards. Bull had an oskie and their was plenty of hard hitting. They never put a play into the endzone. We played the Cowboys on offense next and had several sucessfull plays. We drove it down the field on them and even though we didnt punch anything into the endzone, we were still there knocking on the door. Then we played defense against the Eagles. We havent practiced much on what they threw at us but I think we will be ready the next time we face them. They scored twice but we contained pretty well, shut down their run, and made them pass. Last we were on offense against the Wildcats. Blocking wasnt as good as I think it can be, but what matters is the fact that we put it into the endzone twice against them. Dustin had some good runs, BT had a great QB sneak that looked like it gained about 20 yards. Our scoring plays were both on passes. Corey hooked up with Josh for the first one and with Woody on the second one. Woody was on a nice streak where he beat his defender and flew to the endzone after his catch. Nice play from everyone today. I am proud of you. SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The season is now under way. Prety good job today against the Cowboys. I think the defense overall did a really good job. We had great penetration into their backfield all day long. Dustin had a fumble recovery for us. Offense is where we are still struggling just a little bit. We did better blocking today and the holes were there, our backs need to hit them hard and fast. Too much hesitation. Just hit the hole and explode thru. We have the Wildcats next week and we need to show them something. Let's have a good week of practice and show them what Sooner Football is all about. What do we do?? RUN HARD!! HIT HARD!! PLAY HARD!!!!!!!!

What an awesome game today boys. 4 quarters was not enough to finish this game today. We went into 6 overtime periods. You guys gave 110% and never even thought about quiting today. The Wildcats came out with the victory but you guys earned a lot of respect today with your play. We had several plays that stood out today. Dustin scored his first two Touchdowns as a Sooner. Corey threw the ball well today, completing passes to 4 different receivers. Running backs ran the ball well. Hit the holes hard and continue to keep your feet moving. The offense line is doing soooooo much better. Continue to do what you are doing. Defense is doing such a great job. We were in the Wildcat backfield on almost every play. Corey, Bulldog, Collin, and Kyle had tackles for loss, Reagan had a sack and an interception, Money had a sack, and Dylan had an interception. Bulldog also recovered a fumble. We were hitting hard on defense and I like that. I am just so proud of you guys. I also want to thank the parents. They were down there with all of you in the overtime periods yelling and cheering for you. Thank you to the parent that went out and bought a case of water for the boys when we all ran out of our own water. You usually dont plan ahead for a 6 OT game. We have the Eagles next. We did it. First win of the season for us tonight. Another overtime game for us tonight, but we took care of business from the start of overtime. Tonight we faced the Eagles. It was their Homecoming game and we spoiled it! Once again, the defense was up to the task. Bulldog was causing a lot of havoc in the backfield and made several good tackles for us. It took a while for us to figure out how to tackle their big running backs but eventually we did. They scored their only Touchdown on a play where we had their running back stopped in the backfield on a 4th down play and he got away from us and scampered in for the score. We finally took control in the 4th quarter when Bull recovered an Eagle fumble. Collin scored his first Touchdown as a Sooner right after that going about 70 yards or so to paydirt. I believe he was untouched as well. Nice running Collin. Corey scored the PAT and tied the game at 7-7. We had a penalty on us after the PAT and backed us up for our kickoff back to them. Josh had a pretty good kick but it went out of bounds. Instead of taking the ball where it went out of bounds, the Eagles decided to back us up 5 yards and have us re-kick. Big Mistake !!! Josh got a hold of the second kick and it went past all the Eagle players and they finally fell on the ball to maintain possesion. They ended up losing about 20 yards in field position, the difference of the two plays. We held them and on 4th down they tried to punt and mishandled the snap and Bull was right their to tackle their punter for a 7 yard loss. It gave us one last chance to score for the win but we were denied. Then OverTime came. Or ( at least for this game ) it was Corey Time. On the Eagles 2nd play of Overtime Corey came up with an interception that ended their chance to score. We take over and it came down to 4th and goal ( around 7 yards ). Corey takes the ball on a sweep around left end. He makes his cuts and is getting tackled short of the goal line when he makes a lunge, ball outstretched, for the 2nd effort and gets the ball across the goal line for the game winning score. It was a total team effort tonight and a great win for all the boys. I dont need anymore gray hairs in my gotee (sp?) so lets start taking care of business in regulation time instead of OverTime. I also want to mention Reagan's punt return. He almost broke it for a score. Nice job tonight guys. BOOMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a tough game for us today boys. We weren't at 100% but you hung in there and gave it your all. Good job by BT stepping in for Corey at QB for us. Defense again was pretty good. We were around the ball all day long. Bulldog forced a fumble that Ryker recovered. Bull had a big tackle for loss and later recovered a fumble. Woody picked off a Predator pass. The defense is there boys. We've got to get the offense going. We've got the Panthers next Tuesday night. Let's get ready for them!

We are the Overtime Kings. 3 out of our 5 games have gone into overtime. We have won 2 of those and of course the 3rd game was a 6 OT loss to the Wildcats. It was ball control tonight. We took the opening kick-off and moved the ball down the field and didn't give the Panthers their first possesion until about 4 minutes were left in the first HALF. The offensive line is doing a much better job with their blocking. The holes are there now and the backs are hitting them hard and fast. Too many penalties on us tonight. We have got to get that back in line. The Defense was dominate yet again tonight. We had 3 forced fumbles and we recovered all 3. Bulldog, Collin, and Jesse did the forcing and Money, Ryker, and Ghost did the recovering. Corey helped us maintain the field advantage battle. He had 3 really good punts. The game was scoreless going into overtime. We won the toss and took defense. The Panthers had a good play on first down and had 2nd and goal just inches from the goal line. The Sooner Defense was STOUT for the next 3 plays giving up NO YARDS and kept them from scoring. On our first play of overtime, Ryker goes 10 yards untouched for the winning score. What a way to end our great day. From visiting the OU campus, locker rooms, training rooms, weight rooms and then getting to watch practice and meet Coach Stoops ( and dont forget about meeting Coach Merv Johnson ) to winning our game last night. WHAT AN AWESOME DAY !!! Thanks DJ for setting that up for us. 3 games left boys. Let's take 'em. What do we do? RUN HARD! HIT HARD! PLAY HARD! BOOMER SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome job today boys!! You were ready to play today and it showed. We had an offensive explosion today. I have been harping on the offense all year and today we pulled it off. 25-0 win over the Chargers. Corey had a real good day passing the ball, the running backs ran hard and followed their blocking, offensive line ( which has been doing such a tremendous job this year ) was once again doing superb. Corey scored 2 touchdowns today, BT scored and Corey threw a TD pass to Ghost. Moose scored a PAT after one of the touchdowns. Defense, once again, was stellar. We have posted back-to-back shut-outs. We were in the Charger backfield all day long. I believe we even held them to only 1 first down for the game. Some of you really stepped up your game today. Woody had 3 tackles for loss, Moose, Bulldog, and Kyle also had 1 tackle for loss. Even Joey had a great game today recording his first tackle for loss of the season. Jesse had 2 TFL and 1 sack. BT also had a fumble recovery. Today's win evens our record to 3-3. Remember that I challenged you to 5 wins this year. We are over half way there. Twisters are next. We have more great Sooner Football to play. Let's do it. BOOMER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another good game tonight guys. Defense was the star of the show again. That's beginning to sound like a broken record, but I like that. Defenders were in the Twister backfield much of the night and we held them to no points and NO First Downs. Awesome job boys. We controlled the ball on offense. Reagan scored on our first possesion and then the only thing that stopped us after that were some penalties that killed our drives. We've got to work on those penalties. We've done pretty good for most of the year but we are slipping a little right now. Let's stay on top of it and cut out our penalties all together. One more league game - next Tuesday. It's our homecoming and we play the Titans. Let's take it to them and see what is in-store for us in the Post-Season. One more win to reach our season goal of 5 wins. Let's do it. It was cold tonight and we got off our game early and it showed. The Titans are a great team and they really took it to us. It hurt to not have an offensive possesion until right before the half. We've got to be ready for whatever the other team throws at us. Let's continue to play our game and strive for the best that we can be. Next up is the tournament this weekend. New venue : Woodson Park. The tourney here in Moore didn't make, so we will go to Woodson and play this weekend. Let's be ready.

This weekend was a good learning experience for us. We were entered in the Backyard Brawl Tournament. We got a good old fashion stompin put on us Saturday night by the Oklahoma Titans. The best thing to come out of that game was that you kept going and there was never any quit in any of you. They were bigger and a lot faster than we were. We still played our kind of football and worked on the things that we needed to work on. Today's game was against the OKC Knights. We hung with them all game. We had several great plays today. Kyle and Marcus had sacks. Several guys caught passes. Bull, Bulldog, BT, Reagan were the ones to catch balls and Collin caught a Touchdown pass from Corey on a great scramble play. Reagan also had a nifty interception for us and Money recovered a fumble. Way to play today guys. I am proud of how you performed, no matter what the score on the scoreboard was. Up next is our Homecoming game on Tuesday night. Let's be ready to kick around those Moore Titans !!!!!!!!

Good job tonight boys. We just let them slip up on us. You guys have come such a long way this year. I really appreciate all the hard work and the effort that you have put into it. Bulldog scored his first Touchdown as a Sooner tonight. Corey put in the PAT. We had a couple of chances to put more on the board and just couldn't get it done. We have the playoffs coming up next week. Let's get back to work and make a strong showing in the playoffs. The sky is the limit for us. Let's reach in the clouds. BOOMER SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another overtime game tonight, another Sooner victory. That makes us 3-1 in overtime games this year. We fought hard and you all pulled it out, yet again. We drove the field on the Eagles all night but a few mistakes and fumbles caused us not to capitalize on those opportunities. At our next game we have got to hold on to the ball and not give up those opportunities. We might not have very many so we have to take advantage of them when we get them. Defense was once again stellar. We gave up 1 first down all game. Great job boys. Kyle had a sack and Ghost had another interception. Hard hitting on defense and I saw the swarming tackles back tonight. On the offensive side, hold on to the ball and we score at least twice before the game was over and we wouldn't have needed overtime. The offense is there guys. We've just got to keep playing our game. Great job in the overtime. Corey got the winning Touchdown for us. He noticed that the Eagle defense was not ready for us and quickly snapped the ball and it was a easy TD run for him. We play next Monday night against the winner of the Predators-Twisters game. We will practice hard for whomever it is that we will play. We did reach our 5 wins that I challenged you for at the beginning of the season. Great job. I am proud of you, I know the other coaches are as well, and I know that your parents are very proud of you also. Great team victory tonight. Let's be ready for Monday. Remember our motto : RUN HARD. Incredible. That's how well you played tonight. You were up for the challenge and we took it to the Predators and gave them a lot more than they were expecting. The new plays we have been working on were a success. Offense was driving the ball on them all night. Blocking was there tonight. I think it was the 3rd play of the game Corey hit Reagan on a 60 yard Touchdown pass. We ran the ball hard. It was all working tonight. We did not hurt ourselves tonight. No fumbles. A phantom holding call and some holding calls that didn't get called against the Predators were the only things in our way tonight. I wont blame the refs, but everyone that was there and saw the same things I did knows how the game was decided. Defense was stellar as it has been for most of the year. Bear recovered a fumble, Kyle recovered a fumble after we punted the ball to them on 4th down and their player couldn't hang on to it. Reagan intercepted the only pass that they attempted. They may have had 50 total yards on us. That is just AWESOME !!! They scored their only points when ( once again ) we had a bad spot and turned the ball over on downs, giving them the ball at the 30 yard line. Your hearts were in it tonight and your play showed it on the field. Thanks for a tremendous game. We now can still win 3rd place in the league. We have the Wildcats again on Wednesday night. Let's take care of business once again and have a chance to play for third place. GO SOONERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OVERTIME IS SOONER TIME !!!!!!!! Tonight we avenged one of our earlier losses by beating the Wildcats in overtime. It didn't take 6 overtimes like the last time we played, but we got it done in 1 overtime tonight. I am very proud of how well you are all playing right now. It has been a great pleasure to coach you this year. With tonight's win our overtime record is 4-1. That's pretty good. Our only score of the night came on a Touchdown pass from Corey to Josh. He threw it were Josh was the only one who could catch it and Josh did the rest, running over the Wildcat defenders into the end zone. The defense was great as usual. Brennan, Bulldog, and Reagan had Tackles For Loss. Bulldog also had a sack and Woody came up with a great interception late in the game. Woody's oskie late in the game was a good play. Corey's TD pass was a great play. BUT the best play of the night ( in my opinion ) was late in the 4th quarter. We had 4th down and punted the ball. Corey had a great punt, but it was Woody that raced down the field and downed the ball at the 5 yard line. It was a play that put the Wildcats with their back against the wall. Great momentum change in the battle of field position. It turned out working for us as the Wildcats were able to drive to midfield but ran out of time and sent the game to overtime. Nice job Woody !!! With tonight's win we have earned an invitation to the All-City Tournament at the end of the football season. It is well deserved!! Tomorrow night we play the Eagles for the third time this season. I promise you they will be ready for another shot at us. Let's play our game and we will win 3rd place in the Post-Season tournament. An incredible season is fast coming to a close. With a dominating performance tonight, you wrapped up 3rd place in the Post-Season Tournament. I have been so proud of you guys all year. It has been quite a pleasure for me to Coach you this year and something I'll remember until I can remember no more. For the third time this season we faced the Eagles. The first two times we went to overtime. Not tonight. The Eagles didn't know what hit them. I can tell you what hit them,,, BULLDOG hit them. It was Bulldog gone wild tonight. He scored 2 touchdowns and recorded a safety on defense. Everyone played a great game tonight. The offense actually came around and was basically unstoppable. The offensive line was opening big holes. Running backs were running hard and fast. Josh caught a conversion pass after one of Bulldog's touchdowns. Defense was all over the place as usual tonight. Reagan got ANOTHER interception, Jesse got an interception, and Ryker recovered the 2nd half kickoff to give us a extra offensive possesion. It was a total team effort tonight. It was great. Next up for us will be the All-City Tournamnet. I don't know who we will play yet but we will do our best. Just remember how we got here and to always keep our heads up. BOOMER SOONER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our season has come to an end. Tonight in the All-City Tournament was our last showing of the season. I'm sorry the refs let the deck get stacked against us. The Yukon Panthers are probably a good team. They are a good team without all the dirty play that they showed tonight. For the refs to allow the dirty play that went on is unexcusable. We shouldn't have to play against another team and the refs both. We had a remarkable season. From 1 win last year and finishing last in the league to 7 wins this year and a 3rd place finish in the Post-Season tournament. That is just awesome. You had the heart and determination to go out in style this year and your play showed it. You know it, the Coaches know it, and your parents know it that you guys were definetly the best team in Moore this year. Thank you parents for allowing me the priviledge to coach your boys. It has been a fun ride for me. I also want to thank Coach Ronnie, Coach Dave, and Coach David for all of the help that you gave. I especially want to thank Coach DJ. DJ has no connections with this team other than we are Sooners like him. He has taken time out of his schedule and all the other things that he has to do, to work with our boys this year and make them better football players. It has been great to have him around. Whether it was playing around or coaching, the boys love you DJ. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Our last thing to do together as a team is our end of the season party. We've got some great things planned for you guys. I need all of you to be there. December 12th. Coach Dave's church. I will see you all then. Thanks again for such a great season.
