K-1 Outlaw News 2007 Season
Outlaws K-1st Grade
K-1 Outlaws finish the season with 6 and 1 with a win over the Lakota Stallions (White). On a crisp autumn morning at Niedermeyer Farm field, the Outlaws and Stallions squared off for their final regular season game. The Outlaws struck first with a 60 yard jaunt by Donovan Smith.
The Outlaw defense gave another solid effort all day led by Jackson Norman, Tom Mueller, Alexander Smith, Breiland Anderson, Isiah Stoker, Kamal Sylvester, Creed Davisson that included a couple of touchdown saving tackles by Dylan Sawyer and nice open field tackles by Jaeden Scarbrough.
Avi McGary on a counter play broke a couple tackles and ran 80 yards for a score. Helped by key blocks from Jalal Sylvester, Kellen Newland, Wesley King, Casey Perkins, Sebastian Miller, and Jonathan Ogletree, Donovan Smith scored again from 30 yards away on a little end around. Scarborough scored on the 2 point conversion.
Deyland Cardwell scored on his first carry of the season from 35 yards away on a tough run through traffic. Donovan Smith converted the PAT. Final score 28-0 Outlaws.
Outlaws K-1st Grade beat Miami Valley Wolfpack
The K-1 Outlaws scored season high 34 points in win at Miami Valley. The K-1 Outlaws traveled to Dayton Saturday to take on the Miami Valley Wolfpack.
The defense led by Deyland Cardwell, Creed Davisson, Jackson Norman, Jaeden Scarborough, Breiland Anderson, Isiah Stoker and Tom Mueller stopped the Wolfpack on their first possession. The very next play Avi McGary broke several tackles on his way to a 25 yard score.
Over the next 2 quarters the Outlaws answered scores by the Wolfpack with a 65, 17, and 63 yard scores by Donovan Smith helped by teammates Wesley King, Casey Perkins, Kellen Newman, Jalal Sylvester, Alexander Smith, and Jonathan Ogletree.
The Outlaws began the 4th quarter with a 70 yard bootleg by Donovan Smith for his 4th touchdown of the day. The defense then stepped up and shut down the Wolfpack in the final quarter on a couple big 3rd down plays. Kamal Sylvester first recovered a fumble and the very next series Avi McGary caused and recovered another fumble.
The Outlaws capped the scoring with a 38 yard run by Donovan Smith helped by a devastating block by Avi McGary. Final 34-18 Outlaws
