Lacamas Little League Elects New President
March 15, 2008 --
The Lacamas Little League board of directors is pleased to announce that Erin McClanahan was elected as the league’s new President Saturday, March 15, 2008. McClanahan previously served as the league’s Vice President and has several years experience working with youth baseball in Hawaii. New to the area, McClanahan is anxious to serve the organization and the community at large, along with wife, Yoshie, and three children, Sean, Patrick and Malia.
“Little League is a wonderful organization and is bigger than all of us,” says McClanahan. “It’s about teaching kids life principles and adults working to serve the community. Our family is happy to be here.”
The board would also like to thank Brian Kashas, who has served as the league’s President since 2006. Kashas carried the league through difficult financial times and coordinated the challenging renovation of Forest Home Park’s concession building.
The board issued the following statement: “The league owes Brian a big debt of gratitude for all he’s accomplished; for all his service. He and his wife Kelly have graciously served our community for years, and we think the world of them. Kelly will continue to serve the board as Uniform Coordinator, and Brian will serve in an advisory capacity.”
Lacamas Little League is a chartered organization of Little League International, which is based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. To learn more, visit www.littleleague.org.
