Julie Marshall
Varsity Softball Head Coach-Amador Valley High School

Julie graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood, CA. Her passion for the game and her commitment to excellence paid off as she was named the Team MVP for all four years and League MVP for three years while playing softball for Liberty High. She capped off her high school career by being named the Female Athlete of the Year. Along with Julie’s athletic accomplishments, she was also a four-year honor roll student.

Julie’s strong competitive nature, personal pride, and the combination of good grades and excelling in athletics landed her a scholarship to UCLA to play softball in the prestigious Pac-10. Julie continued her commitment to excellence in college by being selected to the All-Pac-10 Team, All-Pacific Region Team, and was chosen as an All American.

It doesn’t stop there, recognized as one of the best catchers in the nation, Julie’s consistent work ethic carried her softball career to the professional ranks when, upon graduating from UCLA, Julie was drafted by the WPSL Florida Wahoo’s. Julie opted to not play in Florida and accepted a position in the newly formed National Pro Fastpitch League playing for their All Star Team promoting interest in professional softball and encouraging youth all over the nation to play softball. After completing the Promotional Tour for the NPF, Julie accepted a position on the newly formed NPF California Sunbirds based in Stockton, Ca.

Julie has taken her softball career full circle, back to Double Diamond where she trained as a high school player and now is sharing her wealth of knowledge with the youth of the community through coaching, private lessons, and clinics.
