THE LONG ISLAND PRIDE LACROSSE CLUB WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THE ATHLETES WHO PARTICPATED IN OUR TRYOUTS.

Welcome to Long Island Pride Lacrosse. Lacrosse on Long Island has a huge following, which plays an important role to many athletes. The derivation of our name, “The Pride," comes from the history that Long Island has within the sport of Lacrosse. Long Island has always been the main geographic area for the sport. Colleges have recruited Long Island Lacrosse players to form the backbone of their team because these players have not been afraid to get down and dirty or to do what is necessary to be successful.
Those who are part of the Pride believe that Long Island Lacrosse is the best and will work to maintain that status. We stand firmly with our philosophy of player development and the progression in learning and appreciating the game as a player and spectator. Aside from the skills aspect, we feel the history and spirit of the GAME needs to be passed on.
The Pride is a program that will demand a commitment from those who call themselves “Pride Players”. Our coaches have made a commitment to their teams and we expect a reciprocal commitment by the player and his parents.
PRIDE FACTS

NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION. THE DIRECTORS AND COACHES
DO NOT TAKE A SALARY.
· THE ORGANIZATION WAS STARTED BY HIGH SCHOOL COACHES WITH
THE INTENT OF GIVING BACK TO THE GAME THAT HAS BEEN GOOD
FOR SO MANY.
· THE PRIDE HOLDS TRYOUTS FOR PROPER TEAM PLACEMENT.
WE BELIEVE THAT THERE SHOULD BE A PLACE FOR EVERYONE.
· TEAMS ARE FORMED:
o BY CURRENT GRADE(9/08): 5/6, 7/8, HIGH SCHOOL (JV AND VARSITY)
o GEOGRAPHICALLY
· REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES TOURNAMENT FEES FOR 4 TOURNAMENTS

· 2010 WILL BE THE 8TH YEAR FOR THE BOYS AND 7TH YEAR FOR
THE GIRLS.
