Fall '09 Practice Schedule
The U10, U11, and U14 season has started. The U8 and U6 groups will begin practicing on 8/31 and games for U6 and U8 will begin on 9/19. Players for the U6 and U8 age groups will be contacted in the next few days.
Players in the U6/U8 age group need to have the following equipment for practices and games:
Shin Guards
Socks which cover shin guards
Cleats
Size 3 Soccer Ball
The practice times for the fall '09 season are as follows:
U14 Tuesday and Friday 5:30-7pm
U11 Tuesday and Thursday 5pm-7pm
U10 Tuesday and Thursday 5:30pm-6:30pm
U8 Monday 5:30-6:30pm
U6 Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm

Volunteers Needed

The Malabar Soccer Club is currently seeking volunteers for the following positions:
Fields Coordinator. Manage field issues; Locate, mark and maintain playing and practice fields; Act as liaison with the town of Malabar, FL; Submit equipment needs to Equipment Director.
Uniforms Coordinator. Responsible to: Purchase uniforms and equipment, including trophies/awards for the league; Arrange for pictures to be taken and distributed; Ensure uniform fees are collected from teams/players; Order/manage playing equipment. Review Travel uniforms every two years.
Fund Raising Coordinator. Develop and implement sponsorship program; Solicit logo sponsorships on uniforms; Solicit major sponsorships to underwrite CLUB costs, including programs, trophies, and referee expenses; Work with the town of Malabar, FL to raise capital for field development and operation.
Registrar Trainee. We currently have a very experienced registrar who has volunteered his time to get the Malabar Soccer Club registration process organized for the fall '09 season. He has also offered to train someone to take over the registrar position for future seasons. This is a great opportunity to learn how to be a registrar for a BYSL club. The registrar is responsible for enforcing all Local, State and National Rules, Bylaws, and policies and procedures governing player registration and team assignment.
The club is also seeking volunteers for many different functions. If you are not interested in one of the above positions but you have a few hours a month to spare please contact us by clicking here.

U11 Comp - 2 Positions Open
There are still 2 positions open for the Malabar U11 comp team. Eligible players should report to the Malabar Soccer Field ready to tryout on Tuesday, 8/27 from 5pm - 7pm (weather permitting).
In order to be eligible to tryout for the U11 Competitive team, players must still be 10 or younger as of August 1st, 2009.

Fall '09 Registration
The Malabar Soccer Club will be accepting late registrations for a few more days.
PLEASE NOTE we have lowered the registration fee from $100 to $85 to assist families in these tough economic times
FINAL DAYS FOR REGISTRATION!!!
There is still time to register your child for fall '09 soccer. We are temporarily accepting late registrations and there will be no late registration fee. Space is limited and once an age group is full, no more registrations will be accepted for that age group.
We still have openings for the following recreational age groups (age on August 1st, 2009):
U6 (Under 6) - Ages 4 or 5
U8 (Under 8) - Ages 6 or 7
U10 (Under 10) - Ages 8 or 9 (space is very limited)
U12 (Under 12) - Ages 10 or 11 (NO OPENINGS)
U14 (Under 14) - Ages 12 or 13 (limited spots available on girls team)
We also have 2 positions open on the U11 (Under 11 - Ages 9 or 10) comp team. See below for tryout information.
To register your child for fall soccer, please visit the Malabar Soccer Field (Behind the Malabar Fire Station - click here for map ) between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday or Thursday (weather permitting). Some of the older teams are already practicing and there will be people sitting on the sidelines about mid-field who can accept late registrations.

Malabar Soccer Registration Form
COPY and ORIGINAL of birth certificate (original will be returned after verification)
Check or money order for $85 payable to Malabar Soccer Club.
