What does my child need to bring to camp?

Water bottle
Lunch (No Nuts Please)
Spending money for snack bar (if any)
Proper basketball attire that can be worn both inside and out
Any medication (i.e. asthma inhalers) that may be needed for the day(please notify camp instructors if your child will be bringing medication, include any relevant information).

What should my child NOT bring to camp?

Mr. Excellent Sports Academy highly recommends not bringing accessory items to camp, such as:
watches, hats, playing/trading cards, hand held electronic games and balls. Mr. Excellent Sports Academy is not responsible for items left behind or misplaced. If your child chooses to bring a ball, please have his/her name clearly written on the ball in black ink.

Pick up and drop off policies?

Gyms will be open 30 minutes prior to the start of camp. We ask that you pick up your child promptly when the camp ends in the gymnasium. We encourage parents to show up prior to the end of camp to view children in action.

Can parents stay and watch the camps?

Parents, family, and friends are all welcome to watch anytime during the week of camp. We remind you, however, that you are only a spectator, and any questions or comments for the staff or your child be kept for lunchtime or after the camp day has come to an end.

What time is lunch?

Lunch will be from 11:30am-12:30pm daily.

Is lunch provided?
No. We ask that you pack your child a sack lunch with plenty of fluids to drink. Although water is always provided, we recommend sending a water bottle with your child’s initials clearly marked on top. There will be no snack bar on site. NO NUTS at the camp.

Can I sign-up the day of camp?

This will only be permitted if the camp is not sold out. We highly recommend that you call Mr. Excellent Sports Academy prior to the camp’s beginning date to inquire about the status of the camp. (416)222-0211

What is the ratio of camper to coach?

Approximately 9 campers to 1 coach. Students are supervised at all times.

For Soccer camps, what do you do in the event of rain?
All of the facilities we use for summer camp have an indoor building for back up shelter which we use in the event of heavy rain or thunder & lightning? If the rain is light we continue to play. For heavier rain we take shelter under trees, all summer camp locations are selected becuase they provide natural tree shelter for sun and rain. For hevy rain or storm conditions, we move indoor.

Do you play sports all day at the camp?
No; while we do satisfy the players’ desire to play lots of sports we also vary the content and activity level at the camp. The program is well designed to ensure that players rest as well as play during tournaments. As well we have activities with a sports theme that are not always sports games. Players get constant breaks, including morning, lunch and afternoon scheduled stoppages for snack and lunch.
