Volunteers: Many of the area employers, particularly the larger ones, have foundations that recognize employees’ volunteer efforts with non-profits by making donations to those organizations commensurate with the time devoted. March 31st is typically the last date to “log volunteer hours” for 2010, so if your employer has such a program, please consider doing so – it can mean $100-200 donation per employee for the league.
Typically, in addition to knowing in what capacity (board member, coach, both, other) and for how many hours an employee volunteered, the employer is interested in confirming that we’re organized as a 501(c)(3) (we are), and in the following information:

Mission Statement: Naamans Little League, established in 1957, is a chartered member of Little League Baseball, Incorporated. We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball. Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, Little League Baseball is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
