Outlaws win Kennesaw Memorial Day Tournament!!
May 25, 2008 --
The Outlaws played great baseball to win the Kennesaw Memorial Day Tournament. The Outlaws finished first in their bracket with a 2-1 record, beating Hopewell Hurricanes, Team Loganville, and losing to the West Georgia Jackets.
The Outlaws started elimination by beating the Thomaston Warriors(7-4). Then battled hard all game against the Kennesaw Cobra. The Outlaws came up to bat in the sixth inning down by one(5-4). Michael started the team off with a solo home run to tie the game at five all. Adison was the next batter up, and sealed the victory with a back to back walk off home run to put the Outlaws in the finals against the West Georgia Jackets.
The Outlaws were down early in the Championship game but fought hard all game to end regulation tied with the Jackets. The game remained tied all the way to the eighth inning and the Outlaws had the bases loaded with no outs when Justin G drew a walk to give the Outlaws the Championship.

You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball,
and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all
the time. ~Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970
During my 18 years I came to bat almost 10,000
times. I struck out about 1,700 times and walked
maybe 1,800 times. You figure a ballplayer will
average about 500 at bats a season. That means I
played seven years without ever hitting the ball. ~Mickey Mantle, 1970
If a woman has to choose between catching a fly
ball and saving an infant's life, she will choose
to save the infant's life without even considering
if there are men on base. ~Dave Barry
Baseball is the only field of endeavor
where a man can succeed three times out
of ten and be considered a good performer
. ~Ted Williams

Hustle after every ball, expect to make every play, and plan to go home tired and dirty.
