Parental Obligations and Expectations
Chain of command
As a parent we are all required to help assure a season of fun, teamwork, sportsmanship, and equal participation. We follow a chain of command so that there isn’t any confusion and to help deal with issues in an expeditious and orderly manner. Your expectations of us are taken with pride and as part of your responsibility parents are expected to follow this chain as part of their membership requirements. The chain goes as follows:
· A coach must be approached regarding an issue first.
· The next person in line is the respective director that your child’s coach is under
· The third person in line depends what the issue concerns (ex. Money would be the treasurer; fundraising would be the fundraising coordinator, scholarship or scholastics coordinator
· After all lower levels of the chain have been exhausted; first, you may bring it to the Vice President or President. We will try our hardest to solve this at the Association level.
· After all remedies are exhausted at the association level the President is required to make an approach to the CMPW board with the problem. At this point and ONLY at this point will a decision be made for you to address the CMPW Board with your issue.
It is not appropriate for a parent to break this chain of command. If broken, appropriate actions will have to be taken. This could mean any action up to the possible release of your child for your breaking these rules. This may sound harsh, but Pop Warner takes them seriously and every time a parent does this we have to pay the price. Your continued understanding will help keep this problem at a minimum.
Obligations
· It is extremely important that our participants arrive and are picked up at the appropriate times. Practice times are set up to allow the most time available to us. We are limited and the practices are set up to use the most of those times as possible.
· It is not the coach’s responsibility to provide travel for the players, and Pop Warner frowns on that practice. However, we do understand that situations arise and we are willing to work with you. Parents need to set up rides prior to the morning of the game. If there are issues please notify the coach as soon as possible and the coach will try to help you and your child.
· Parents are expected to help with fundraising, MPR sheets, chain gang, raffles, concessions and to volunteer to take some of the burden off of the already overburdened volunteers that do it week after week. Each team’s parents will be asked to volunteer at certain times during the year.

AMPWFCA ASSOCIATION BYLAWS
May 8, 2009 --
Our By-laws have been updated to meet current needs and are done for the 2009 season.
Any active member of the Association can request to see them and they will be provided for that purpose. SEE A BOARD MEMBER AND WE WILL SUPPLY ONE FOR YOUR VIEWING.

Fundraising
We will be Fundraising all year long...... Each child must be involved in the fundraising activities........... Every football player and cheerleader benefits from these funds raised which are used for the purpose of uniforms,equipment, operational costs, the end of the year banquet, trophies, and awards. Most of all we want to keep registration costs as reasonable as possible so that more children can be involved.

Fix the concession stand area and needed repairs to the equipment trailer.

Mandatory Background Checks
Starting with the 2003 season, Pop Warner programs nationwide will be required to annually conduct a background check of: Coaches, Board of Directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players and/or spirit participants.
This is a national rule, and requirement, of ALL Pop Warner Associations. Any person having a crimainal record of a crime against a minor will be prohibited from holding any position, or volunteering within the association.

PHOTOS WANTED
We are looking for someone to take game pictures for our website and to use for our newspaper articles at the games. If you are interested please contact a board member and your help would be greatly appreciated.
If you have photos of past or present players, games or events, please e-mail (digitals) to a board member or Tom McDowell for posting to the site. We need pictures of all areas to display on the website.
We want to have a great site this year, so send in them photos.

Pop Warner Creed
‘Pop Warner Little Scholars’ goals are to inspire youth, regardless of race, creed, religion or national origin, to practice the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship, and physical fitness, as reflected in the life of the late Glenn Scobie "Pop" Warner.
Pop Warner strives to make the game "fun" for all boys and girls. The program stresses learning lessons of value far beyond the playing or spirit days of the boys and girls involved, such as: self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
With such goals in mind, and by providing an opportunity to participate in an organized, supervised environment with emphasis on maximum safety and participation, Pop Warner offers young men and women a unique experience.

We would like to thank ALL of those that volunteered their time through-out the year. From chain gangs to concessions and all points in between. We cannot do it without your help.
Lets see some new faces this year !!!
