Pine Crest Varsity Lax team defeats Ransom Everglades in their home opener 10-2. Harris Stolzenberg & Sebastian Gutierrez both had hat tricks and Sam Talkow and Miles Braun added 2 more goals each to the scoreboard. Sam Talkow had a 91% faceoff win percentage and led the team in ground balls with 10! Nick Greiner had an 66% save percentage in goal. Great team effort. Harris Stolzenberg scored 7 goals and made 2 assists in the win over Jupiter Christian. Sebastian Gutierrez also scored 4 goals and Zach Smith added 4 goals and 3 assists. The team had their first loss of the season against Jupiter High now ranked 3rd in South Florida behind St. Andrew's and St. Thomas, while Pine Crest is ranked 4th.Click here for laxpower rankings

Scoring for Pine Crest were Harris Stolzenberg with 3 goals and an assist, Miles Braun with 3 goals and an assist, and Sebastian Gutierrez with 2 goals. Sam Talkow won 18 of 25 faceoffs and had 13 ground balls. Pinecrest is 3-1 on the season.Click here to see the Inside Florida Lacrosse article

Pine Crest (5-1)defeated The Benjamin School (4-2) 15 to 9 in a tremendous match up of last year's club state champion (and before this defeat ranked 6th in the much larger FHSAA state coach's poll) and the Panthers.

Stolzie had 5 goals & 2 assists, Zach 3 goals-3 assists, Sebas 3 gosl-3 assists, Miles 2 goals-4 assists and Cody Shamon & Hunter Barnett each added a goal. Sam Talkow dominated a very strong Charlie Nicklaus and others at the face off x with a 74% face off win percentage.

Great team effort and a tremendous win for Coach Shanahan and the team!

PIne Crest had a huge win over arch-rival St. Thomas Acquinas. The Panthers dominated St. Thomas leading by as many as 9 points! It was an amazing team effort with everyone coming out motivated.

Let's talk stats. Greiner had 24, yes I said, 24 saves! Stolezenberg and Miles both had amazing 9 point nights. Stolizie had 5 goals and 4 assists and Miles had 6 goals and 3 assists. The defense was also really strong throughtout the game. This is PC's first win against St. thomas in three years! Excellent game, boys! Congratulations!

PIne Crest delivers the first shut out of the year. And the win was over a district opponent, Cardinal Gibbons, to remain undefeated in the district. The win was 19-0, with some amazing performances. Harris dominated the goal with 10 points - 5 goals and 5 assists. Sebastian and Miles both added 6 points. Sebastian had 6 goals and Miles added 4 goals and 2 assists. The Shamon brothers each added a goal, as did Colin Hampton and Zach Smith. Zach Smith and Sam Talkow each had 2 assists. Talkow increased his stats at the face off x winning 10 of 12 faceoffs for a 83% win percentage. Greiner and Haley both had 100% evenings with Greiner having 6 saves and Patick Haley finishing the game with a save of his own.

Joe Shamon was able to attend the Notre Dame vs. Rutgers Men's Lacrosse game at Notre Dame this past weekend and catch up with PC Alum and current Rutgers Lacrosse player, Jacob Werman, after the game.

Hunter Barnett signed to play with Division I Rutgers University in the Big East Conference to play lacrosse during his college career. Under coach Brian Brecht, Hunter will play for the Scarlet Knights as a Long Stick Middie and will play along side former Panther Jacob Werman. Please congratulate Hunter on this tremendous achievement.
