LOOKING FOR PLAYERS
April 8, 2008 --
The Port Saint Lucie Senior Softball League (FLORIDA) is always looking for new players to join. Our League completed the 2008 season this past March. Presently, we are playing in a 4 team mini- season. To participate in our 2009 season, you must be at least 50 years of age or will be sometime in 2009. In the middle of December 2007, the Evaluation and Player Assignment Committee will have the responsibility of forming six (6) teams from a pool of players. It is highly recommended that anyone wishing to join the League should play in the mini-season league, so that they can be evaluated. Anyone interested in playing should contact Rich McCann, at the telephone number below, or appear at Sandhill Crane Park on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, at 8AM, and inform anyone of the Board Officers of their wish to join the League. All players MUST pay the league fee prior to being assigned to a team for the 2008 Official League Season. Any player not assigned to a team will have his entire paid fee returned.

RAMBLERS WIN 2002 ISA WORLD SERIES
October 3, 2002 --
Port Saint Lucie Ramblers 60s beat Old Bones 15-7 & 19-9 to win the 2002 ISA World Series Double A bracket at Fort Myers, Florida.

PSL 65s WIN 2006 SS-USA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
March 23, 2006 --
The Port St. Lucie 65s went 5-0 in their Seeding and Championship games, to win the 65 and over Double A Bracket of the Senior Softball-USA Spring National Championship, at Winter Haven, FL. The team collected 119 hits over the 5 game span. Their Championship game was a 28 -10 win over the SW Florida Cougars.

2006 FLORIDA HALF CENTURY STATE CHAMPIONS
December 3, 2006 --
The Port St. Lucie 65s won the 2006 Florida Half Century State 65 "B" Bracket Championship. Upon winning their bracket with a 4-0 record, the team won a one game championship game, with a score of 9 to 6, against the higher seeded bracket winner, the Clearwater 65s. It was a definite team effort and a proud moment for all the team players.

2007 SS-USA TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
February 23, 2007 --
The SS-USA held their inaugural TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS at softball complexes in Lakeland, Auburndale and Winter Haven, February 23rd to February 25th to accommodate almost 100 teams that were 2006 SS-USA Tournament Champions. The PORT ST LUCIE 65s competed against 7 other 2006 championship teams in their DOUBLE A bracket. Upon playing their 8th game of the tournament the Port St. Lucie 65s were eliminated from the Championship Game. With an overall record of 5 - 3 for their 8 games, the PORT ST LUCIE 65s were awarded a trophy for THIRD PLACE.

2007 SS-USA SPRING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
February 15, 2007 --
The Port St Lucie 65s won the Triple A SS-USA Spring Nationals at Auburndale, Florida. Last year the team won the Double A Championship and were moved up to Triple A this past tournament. Congratulations to Manager Bill Linn and all the players for winning another SS-USA National Tournament.
