    First Day of Practice 2008

    Time to play Fellas
Fellas it's time to play: all the sweat, all the time that will be put in all the drills, all the running, all the hitting, the injuries, and you ask yourself why are we all doing this?? To be called the best in the WORLD in Minor League Football, the chance to be crowned as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS in the largest organization in the world.. That is why we do it, that is what we are after and this is where it starts, TIME TO PLAY THE GAME, "This year it's personal.."

A personal note from myself as well as the coaching staff
Guys I could not be any more proud of each of you today. From the veterans to the rookies it was truly a great day to be a Bull. I am so grateful for each of you. It was just like everyone fell into place, this is truly going to be a spectacular season, the rookie talent was AWESOME, the veterans did not even look like you guys lost a step.. We are very proud and honored to be with you all, thank you so much!! And to all the veterans thank you for believing in our program, you guys are just as much responsible for building this team as we are.. Owner Jimmy Cronan and Coaching Staff...

We are not a SEMI-PRO team, So please stop calling us that, READ THE ARTICLE!!!
    Story released by the NAFL

The terms are often linked, and are interchangeable in many conversations, but what is the real difference? Confusion abounds and it is a tough nut to crack, but we are slowly changing the emphasis off of semi-pro and onto Minor League.

The level of sport that is most often associated with the term “semi-pro” would be the teams that pay players to play for their team, but are not at the Professional level. Higher profile examples would be A, AA or AAA baseball, AFL or AF2 and the ABA. There are more examples at a lower level for all sports, but the common thread is that they pay their players to play on their teams.

The term “Minor League” is most commonly associated with amateur athletics. Players on these teams are able to maintain their college eligibility or make the jump to a semi-pro team at the next level. In hockey, the Junior Leagues are considered Minor-League because the players maintain their college eligibility. Look at many college hockey teams and you will see Freshmen that are 21 and 22 years old. At the same time you see professional players that are 18 and 19 that have played Junior League for 2 years before being moved up. The benefit being that they can keep their options open by playing in the Juniors.

The NAFL is one of the Minor League systems that maintains this status. Recognized by both the NCAA and the NFL as an Adult Amateur organization, players enjoy the unique situation of maintaining college eligibility while gaining experience that could get them noticed at the Professional and Semi-Professional levels. There are many examples of players from NAFL teams that have signed professional and semi-professional contracts. Hundreds each year play in the various arena leagues, while there are others who have played in Europe, Canada or even the NFL.

On the flip side of that are the players who enroll in college and play for their respective institutions. Few players and even fewer College Coaches understand that the NAFL is an amateur organization. The Players do not get paid, and by design maintain their amateur status. The NAFL has been, from the beginning, organized as an Adult Amateur League, with the express purpose of promoting the game of football and helping players to reach the next level of competition, be it College, semi-pro or Professional; whichever level the players aspire to.

As the NAFL moves forward, we will continue to maintain our status as a Minor League organization, and promote our players as the best Adult Amateur football players in the world. Our goal will be to raise the level of Minor League Football to become a viable option for non-traditional and “Special Situation” athletes, who desire nothing more than a chance to make their mark in the sport they love.

    Jawga Boyz
The Jawga Boyz have finished the theme song for the Georgia Ragin' Bulls. It Is called "Buckle Up or Bow Down". Please go to there myspace by clicking on there pic above. Also the song would sum up the game this past Saturday when one of our own was injured and was taken to the hospital. Dontae Davis had the PLAY OF THE GAME which totally turned the momentum our way. It was 4th and 21 the punt was blocked and Dontae picked the ball up, and using his 4.2 speed was able to get 26 yards for the Bulls first down and essentially kept the Bulls "O" on the field for a scoring drive. We originally was not going to release this song until our next game, but Dontae summed it up for me as an owner and what this team stands for, although Dontae took a helmet to helmet contact, he walked off the field under his own power and showed to play on this squad you do have to "Buckle up or Bow Down", and nothing else will be accepted. Dontae one hell of a play!! And to the Jawga Boyz, the song is magnificent and sums our team up to a T.. GREAT JOB..

First Preseason game in the books
    Bulls 24, Waycross 8

After several penalties and a couple of touchdowns called back, the Bulls again showed there horns. This was a "W" and we will take it, however this was the Bulls first day in full gear, and our first pre-season game of 2008. Big Ups to everyone. And Warren County thank you for your support, there were over 500 tickets sold. And also thank you to all of the players families that came out, we could not make it without. A breakdown of the game will be posted within the next few days. Waycross was one scrappy team.

Bulls come up short in second Pre-season game
    Bulls 0, X-treme 14

In a game that would prove to be a fight to the finish, and show why both teams are at the top with there defenses. The defenses shut down the offenses on both sides barely giving either team room to operate. With 7:48 to go in the game and the score 0-0 Bulls were sent out to punt on a 4th and 12 from the 15 yard line. This would prove to be a momentum shifter for the X-treme as the Bulls punter fumbled the snap, giving the X-treme the ball on the Bulls 4 yard line. Second play from scrimmage #22 ran it in giving the X-treme the first touchdown of the game. In an attempt to move down the field X-treme intercepted a pass from D.Walker and would set them up for the final touchdown of the game with 2:22 left. Final Score X-treme 14 Bulls 0. The Georgia Ragin' Bulls would like to thank the X-treme for coming up to play this pre-season game with us. Our fans really loved the Defensive battle. Good luck on the rest of your regular season. Total tickets sold for this game was 447, this was not counting the children tickets. Thank you Warren County for your continued support of your Bulls. Bulls open up there regular season on July 12th against the West Georgia Falcons game time 7:30pm Legion Field in Warrenton.

    Bulls gearing up for 2009...
Bulls proudly welcome Defensive Coordinator Larry Anderson to the coaching staff. A bio on Coach Larry will be available soon...

    Marquez Gibson a.k.a "FURLEY"
    Photobucket
Make no mistake about it Marquez Gibson will let you know very quick that he is a Laney Wildcat and he will always be one. Marquez was working with the Boys and Girls club from Augusta Georgia while playing football with the Bulls in 2007 and 2008. Gibson played WR for the Bulls and was quickly a standout with his speed and sticky hands. After a few phone calls and some looks by the Bendict College coaching staff, Furley was quickly offered a full scholarship where he is a starting DB. Furley will make his debut back to Augusta Georgia against Lander College @ Laney Stadium. We are unsure of the time but will get that posted ASAP. Just a quick note Furley has 4.2 speed, get it if you want it. Furley from the coaching staff you have made us very proud and wish you continued success.

Other players that have went to College:
    Eric Curry SC State RB
    BIG JON Lagrange College OL/DL
Dominique Walker QB for Bulls, Pitcher for Bendict College baseball.

    Bulls continue to grow
    Sioux City Bandits
The Georgia Ragin’ Bulls have made a working relationship with the Sioux City Bandits in Iowa. The Bandits Play in the United Indoor Football League (UIFL). Ralph Scott Jr. has already committed to the Bandits for the 2009 season, and Jamie Williamson QB is also a prospect. The Bandits are best known for RB Freddy Jackson which is the RB for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL. What this means for the Bulls players is that every top player from the Bulls will be looked at by the Bandits first, instead of the organization having to venture out to find other teams to look at our players. The Bulls are very excited about this and look forward to a great working relationship with the Bandits. To visit them please go to www.siouxcitybandits.com

BULLS CONTINUE TO SHOW WHY WE ARE THE BEST
IOWA BARNSTORMERS OF AFL 2 IS LOOKING AT JAMIE WILLIAMSON QB #7
    AFL 2 Iowa Barnstormers

It has been a long journey for us since we have started the Bulls, but now it is the Bulls time to prosper and show the rest of the world what we have to offer in our Minor League Football Program. We are the Bulls and we strive harder than anyone else on and off the field to make the players dreams as well as ours a reality. So with all of that said and with Ralph Scott Jr. waiting to see what happens, because now we will not make a decision until we here back from Alaska Wild or which ever one Ralph has the best shot. Now we turn to our dedicated QB Jamie Williamson, he has done so much for this team that some of us are saddened but also full joy, because at this time he has several and we mean several teams looking at him before the combine even starts. The one team that has really caught his attention is the AFL 2's Iowa Barnstormers. Jamie has spoke with the coach and we are at a stage where it is looking very good for Jamie to finally get his shot at the big boys! This is very huge for the Bulls program as well as Jamie. I spoke to Jamie and he said he was very excited to have teams calling on him to come in a be a playmaker but he was saddened because he would be leaving some of his Bulls Brothers behind for a while. He did tell me that with him departing which ever way he goes, he will always be a BULL no matter what the circumstances or where he is stationed he is a BULL. Jamie we all love you too, and we will all miss you and Ralph when you go. Just make us all proud this is and will be a very huge step forward for both. SO GOOD LUCK!!

    CANTY JOINS BULLS
    CANTY JOINS BULLS FOR 2009
Wayne Canty a standout RB for Silver Bluff High in SC and Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta GA has joined the Bulls for 2009. Canty a local prospect was rated as one of the top 25 players in the CSRA in 2004. Graduated in 2005 he has seen time at Albany state and GMC. Pictured above is his pic from Silver Bluff. The Bulls are continuing to add top prospects from the area as we continue to grow. The Bulls are preparing to make a run for the USFL Championship. But first they must tackle the defending champs, Henry County Horsemen in Locust Grove Georgia on June 13th. Canty will provide a complete package to an already powerful running attack.

Amazing feat. Young Jeezy - Kanye West

    BULLS WILL NOT CONTINUE
First of all I would like to say congratulations on a well fought victory to the Georgia Renegades, they scored with .50seconds left to seal the victory. And to the USFL for letting the Bulls participate in a well organized league, this is by far the best in the South. I am very hurt for what I am about to do with this team, but I as Owner will not go on and will shut down the Bulls Organization immediately. Coach Goode and myself do not deserve the disrespect that some of you have shown at the end of last season and up to this point. I can't believe that we have gotten to the point of fighting each other on the sideline. We had hundreds of people in the stands at last nights game and still some of you continued to fight. Not to mention all the children had to see this. I alone have nearly spent $40,000 of my own money on this program, not to count Coach Goodes countless hours in preparing. There has hardly been anyone at practice, how do you think you can have a team if you don't practice, YOU CAN'T!! I will forever be a Bull, but this team at this point does not define me or any of the coaches and the dedication that we had. Tommy Seals don't worry I am still going to get you into college, I GAVE YOU MY WORD! What once was a masterpiece, is now a has been. Good luck to all. If you wish to continue playing please contact the Augusta Razorbacks, www.leaguelineup.com/augustarazorbacks, or Georgia Pirates, www.leaguelineup.com/georgiapirates. To all my veterans that have stuck it through, thank you!

AMERICUS GEORGIA HERE COME THE BULLS
To all Bulls players now is your chance to show the scouts of the WSS what we are made of. This is our chance to show why the Bulls are the top Minor League Football team in the CSRA. If you are interested please contact coach Goode for all the information. These players salaries range from $800-$3000 monthly with all other expenses paid. Click on the logo to visit the scouting site. Also visit the European Federation of American Football @ www.efaf.de/

    INFORMATION FOR COMBINE
World Sports Scouting EuroCombine in Americus, Georgia on 12/6/09 at 2:00 p.m
    Cost is $195.00
    AMERICUS-SUMTER COUNTY REGIONAL COMPLEX
    741 U.S. HWY 19
    Americus, GA 31709

World Sports Scouting is the ONLY clearinghouse used by the European Football League, so if you are interested in going pro in Europe we are THE way to get you there.

If interested in attending a World Sports Scouting EuroCombine as a participant, you must pay and pre-register through the World Sports Scouting Website at the cost of $195.00 per athlete. World Sports Scouting will then post your combine data on our website so that 800+ European teams can shop for you. We also recommend that you supply WSS with your personal football statistics from your prior team(s), highlight video through email or youtube, reference letters from coaches, etc. These things will increase your “sellability” and improve your chances of receiving an offer from a European professional football team.

Typically for WSS EuroCombines there are about 4-5 stations, which I listed below. You will see more specifics concerning these exercises when you visit the worldsportsscouting.com website.
1.) Welcome/Register - Fill out liability waiver, stretch, etc.
2.) Take player measurements - weight, height, hand size, arm length, & picture
3.) Cone Drills - 20 yard shuttle and "L" Drill
4.) Broad Jump & Vertical Jump
5.) Bench Press (225 x no. of times)

I would recommend that you bring with you a variety of shoes – football shoes, running shoes, and turf shoes if you have them. The Americus combine will be held on a “normal” football field with a grass surface, but bring a variety of shoes just in case of changes brought about by rain or other unforeseen circumstances.

The Bulls are still the #1 Team in the CSRA and still continue to prove it! Also if you are a new player wanting to tryout for the Bulls please contact Coach Goode 706-829-8054.

    Good Luck Telley
    Photobucket
From the Bulls family we wish our very own WR #3 Telley Cheeley good luck as he enters the combine today @ 2pm for a chance to play in the Europe Football League.

Complete Story from NAFL about "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH"
To all of my players, before you read this, I want you to know that I have faith in each one of you, and believe that any of you can be the next great player to come from this program...Let's do it in 2008..

The North American Football League (NAFL) and The Scouting Bureau announced today that they are partnering in a joint venture called "NAFL Diamonds in the Rough." The NAFL and The Scouting Bureau will follow qualified players throughout the 2008 season and identify top talent within the league. The NAFL and The Scouting Bureau will identify one or more players that will qualify for the 2009 National Football League (NFL) draft pool, and then move them forward.
The players will need to meet detailed criteria established by the NFL. This criteria includes the player's high school graduation year or the year that they enrolled in college, as well as age, experience, ability, and overall potential.

While the NAFL and The Scouting Bureau have partnered since 2001, when Darnell Dinkins became the first player on an NAFL team to be drafted by an NFL team, 2008 marks a new era in the partnership.

"This is not the first time we've had a player enter the NFL Draft; however, we haven't done a good job at getting the word out," stated Rob Licopoli, Chief Executive Officer of the NAFL. "In addition to entering players into the NFL draft, the NAFL Diamonds in the Rough program is intended to create the awareness that the NAFL offers more than just a national playoff system for amateur players."

Steve Brown, Scouting Bureau Senior Analyst, says the time is right for a renewed commitment between the two organizations.

"The overall organization of the league and talent level has reached the point where it merits such attention," said Brown. "This is a joint venture that we have helped establish with the management of the NAFL that will help increase visibility and sponsorship, as well as direct high caliber athletes and 'special situations' to the NFL."

"Special situations" include players that have lacked visbility, blossomed late, or encountered personal hurdles in their lives that forced them to miss a potentially life-changing opportunity.

"There are a number of (athletes) that have the talent to contribute at the college or professional level," commented Brown. "We know there are some 'Diamonds in the Rough' in the NAFL and we just have to find them."

Brown estimates there are a number of quality prospects in the NAFL, which has upwards of 10,000 athletes playing on nearly 200 teams.

"If you only focused on the top 2% of 10,000, then you're looking at 200 athletes," said Brown. "Once you take a number of factors into consideration such as commitment level, conditioning, attitude, age, and character, you will probably come up with roughly 100 that meet our basic 'special situation' criteria."

Brown then says The Scouting Bureau will divide these players into two groups, the top 100 and the top 50, and concentrate their efforts on these athletes.

"A high percentage of that estimate would be players that could compete at some level of professional football," said Brown. "A select few will have NFL caliber skills and potential, thus they will greatly benefit from the 'Diamonds in the Rough' program."

The Scouting Bureau will utilize their regional scouting network, similar as they do for evaluating college talent, to evaluate talent in the NAFL. The Scouting Bureau and the NAFL have the resources to ensure that this program is a success.

"The NAFL's management team, led by CEO and founder Rob Licopoli, have the strategy and personnel to take this league and its concept to another level and we are going to do everything in our power to help assure their success," said Brown. "Though many may know little about this league at present, they will in the not so distant future as the NAFL develops its niche concepts, gains sponsorship, increases its visability, and becomes a formal 'stepping stone' to opportunity for a certain market of athletes."

The NAFL Diamond in the Rough is open to any players that qualify to enter the NFL Draft and currently play on a team that is a member of the NAFL. Players can enter by completing the online application on the home page of the NAFL website.

Bulls Former QB Jamie Williamson shows great poise and shows promise

NEW QB Jamie Williamson ran for a touchdown and was 11-of-27 passing with two touchdowns and two interceptions in his Canton debut Saturday.
    REPOSITORY BOB ROSSITER

    BY JIM THOMAS
    REPOSITORY SPORTS WRITER

CANTON Wide receiver Tim Smith was blown away Saturday by the composure of new Canton Legends quarterback Jamie Williamson.

"I was very surprised," said Smith, the lone holdover among Canton's receiving corps. "Jamie has a lot of poise in the pocket."

Williamson showed both the good and bad of being a 25-year-old quarterback in his Legends debut during a 38-24 season-opening loss to the Erie RiverRats. He hopes to show more of the good this Saturday in a 7 p.m. kickoff against Carolina at Memorial Civic Center.

The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Williamson used his most dangerous weapon — his legs — on a snaky 16-yard touchdown burst. Williamson took off through a crack in Erie's line and juked two defenders who couldn't even touch him as he put Canton ahead to start the third quarter.

He also misfired earlier on some easy tosses into the Civic Center turf. Williamson finished 11-of-27 with two touchdowns and two interceptions. A couple of his bullets could have been caught, the strength of his right arm surprising receivers with the speed the ball arrived on them.

"No excuses," Williamson said after Saturday's loss. "We have to bounce back, come back this week and work hard."

Legends head Coach Ed Korns said Williamson improved as his first game unfolded.

"After we moved from under center to shotgun, Jamie got to see the field a lot better," said Korns. "Jason (Lewis, 6-5), Larry Kinnard (6-6, 280) and Jesse (Wells, 6-1, 316) are big guys on the line. He ran the ball better, between center and guard."

Williamson's throws also take some adjusting to compared to the ones Arena League veteran Kevin Mason made the last two seasons.

"Kevin had a little more touch," said Smith, who caught more than a 1,000 yards worth of Mason passes in Canton's championship season of 2006. "Jamie's got a missile, a rocket of an arm."

Williamson led Silver Bluff High School to a South Carolina state championship in 2000. Last year, he led the Georgia Ragin' Bulls of the North American Football League to a 14-3-1 record and was named the MVP in the league's All-Star game. The Bulls, two-time South Atlantic Division champs, were ranked 33rd by Minor League Football.

Smith likes what he has seen of Williamson in their limited practices together the past month. "He uses his feet well," said Smith, who caught a team-high four passes for 66 yards. "He had an interception or two, but they weren't forced interceptions. "The Legends are going to be just fine (with Williamson)."

ON DECK Canton's opponent Saturday, the Carolina Speed, lost to Erie, 42-21, in Week 1 but came back to beat Reading, 49-17, last week.

    Getting Ready for 2008
June 28, 2008 - 07:00 PM --   As the NAFL season is fast approaching the Bulls are getting geared up and have scheduled there only pre-season game for 2008 against the Lamar County Bandits out of Vernon Alabama. The game will be played in Warrenton, GA. The Bulls organization are in talks with Warrenton to use the new facility just built for the High School. This season the Bulls will only have one pre-season game due to the length of schedule play in 2007. "My guys need rest" states Owner Jimmy Cronan we had a long 2007 season which did not end until Jan-2008 so we just need to rest and recooperate. The Bulls which are 25-5 in the last two seasons are beginning there run for 2008 which starts in Lincolnton,GA February 9th at there first tryout. With alot of players leaving for the Arena leagues the Bulls are in search for fresh talent. Jimmy stated the response of us venturing out has been great, nothing but positve responses from Lincolnton. With QB Jamie Williamson going to Canton Ohio to QB for the Legends it will be up to Telley Cheeley(R) QB/WR to lead this team in 2008. Although we know that playmakers Derrick Williams, Ralph Scott Jr. and the leadership of our veterans such as Jonathan Mathis DB will always help guide the younger talent, we just need to focus on rebuilding. Just this past week it was released that QB Jamie Williamson not only signed with the Canton Legends but a complete packet was requested by the CFL's Toronto Argonauts for Jamie. We work hard but I can't take all the credit my wife and my coaches are my backbone, without them I would fall through the cracks. They keep me calm.
It was very hard for the Bulls in 2007 when the Bulls were so called ripped off and all monies were stolen. Owner Jimmy Cronan states that was one of the most difficult times for me as an owner, "you just get a lump in your throat", especially when you have to tell your guys that something like that happened. The Bulls pulled together and pull together they did, the Bulls made it to the Elite 8 of the NAFL's championship series out of 120 teams, but fell to Asheville. Mr. Cronan stated that this year everything is set, the bells are ringing and we are back with anger, not only as a team, but as an owner it is my part to keep everything in order on the other side of the ball, and last year I kind of wobbled. "That will not happen again" stated Cronan. The Bulls organization is very strong going into 2008 from top to bottom. While the players are not paid athletes and range from 17 year olds to 40 year olds the younger players know what is at stake. A chance for them to go to college or the next level, and the Bulls program is continuing to prove that just because the guys aren't paid doesn't mean they don't have talent. Mr. Cronan was asked to sum up his entire program with just a few words to desribe it. He stated "we have a few slogans that we use" but the one I like for this year is, "we get the undiscovered, discovered" I mean that just fits. To visit the Bulls www.georgiaraginbulls.com and later in the month www.georgiaraginbulls.net will be released. There season will kickoff July 2008. Go Bulls!!

BULLS ARE CHAMPIONS IN THE BATTLE OF CSRA

Williamson scramble, YOU GOT KNOCKED THE **** OUT!!

    MVP OFFENSE QB JAMIE WILLIAMSON
MVP DEFENSE LB RALPH SCOTT JR.
    IRON MAN WR/KR DERRICK WILLIAMS

"Ya'll Good, We just on a different level..."

Meet the Bulls most Feared Foursome of the NAFL
Yes we have a great QB that has led us to 21-5 in the last two years, and a stellar Defense that has given up just under 16 points a game in two years, and an offensive line that has made it quite simple for Jamie to move around as he pleases. The core of players that I would like for the fans to meet is the Feared Foursome which is our WR crew, these guys no matter the situation have put up big numbers all year long, whether it is from receiving the ball or going back to field a kickoff or punt return. These guys make coaching special teams a piece of cake. It is made up of two rookies and and two veterans.

PhotobucketFirst: The two newcomers, Telley Cheeley and Marquez Gibson. #3 Telley came into camp with not knowing what to expect from minor league football and not playing since high school @ Lincoln County which he played QB, WR. He soon realized that it was faster, harder hitting and alot more reps on making a play, but he stepped on the scene and with some practice made a drastic improvement which has led him to be a starting WR and backup QB to Jamie Williamson, with Williamson leaving in February Telley will have to step up and be the leader that he is destined to be so he too can move on. Telley has a strong arm but needs more reps to improve his accuracy which will come with time, however he is not afraid to take on a linebacker and put one on YOU!! At nearly 6'2, and the the heart of a lion we can't wait to see him in 2008.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting atPhotobucket
Another newcomer is Marquez Gibson. He hales from Lucy Laney. Marquez came out after not making the squad with the was then Augusta Spartans, and for what ever reason that was... Anyway Marquez from the line is our fastest runner at nearly 6'3 long arms, and legs he is a DB's worst nightmare, blink and you miss him. He also has strong upper body strength which allows him to not only take a hit but also deliver one, and if he thinks he can't get by you, get ready because he will lower his shoulder. His willingness to compete and improve should prove him very well at the combine in Miami.

Now let's move on to the veterans: Damien " I will fly by you" Reddick, and Derrick "get off me" Williams.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
#16 Damien Reddick hales from Glenn Hills High School. D'Redd is probably the most natural talented WR that we have laid eyes on in a while. With Dante Hall like moves and his ability to make tacklers miss he is truly one of the best WR/KR in the NAFL. At only 5'8 he is often referred to as Lil Dante, for Dante Hall of course. His skill level has been unmatched at this level of play and he continues to improve each and every game. He is truly raw talent that has yet been untapped and deserves a shot a playing in Pro-Football. This past season Reddick was knocked unconscious after being hit in the head when his helmet came off, which set him back for about 3 weeks. First game back returned a punt return 86 yards for a touchdown, as you can see nothing loss. Has sure hands and will take a hit. He too should help his chances at the combine in Miami.

Now we will move on to the WR that received national honors, and All-American honors from Minor League Football in 2006 for receiving and kick returns for a touchdown.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
#38 Derrick Williams, all the way for "DOT" Dothan, Alabama, is the leader of all of the WR's. He is best known for his Kick returns, Yards after catch and his route running. In 2 years Derrick has managed to be player of the week at least 10 times, three weeks in a row in 2007 according to Minor League Football News. Derrick has managed to average two touchdowns a game, mostly coming from catching the ball in the middle of the field and letting his vision due the rest. The others come from KR's. D'Will also holds the Bulls longest KR for a touchdown @ 92 yards against the Georgia Generals in there home stadium. Derricks route running will beat the best DB that any team has to offer and running a 4.5 doesn't help them. Derricks vision is also unmatched it is like he sees the hole open before it actually opens, if that makes any sense. Standing at 5'10 his work ethic, attitude and his overall ability to find a way to score makes him the final part in the FEARED FOURSOME, and we will not stop until you make it!!!! So you may stop one of them but understand three more are coming at you. SOON!!! To a city near you... Lamar Brown the fifth wide receiver is vastly improving and will be one to watch in 2008

COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU
#38 Derrick Williams, Minor League Football All-American and Iron-Man of the year. Coming to Homestead, Miami January 11th Weekend!!

    Bulls 24, Miami Knights 34

First of all we would like to thank the Knights for such a great game. Secondly, I personally want to thank each and everyone of the players that made the trip... Faced with adversity, the Bulls only had 21 players while the Knights had nearly 60 strong, it was the heart and pride of the Bulls and the never quit attitude that kept the Bulls in the game the entire time, Ralph Scott Jr. had 22 solo tackles, 6 half tackles and the heart of a lion that kept us in the game on "D".. Jamie Williamson the MVP for the Bulls, was given a trophy for his performance by the SEFL. Jamie Williamson threw for 226 yards, and ran for 102yds, and 1 touchdown.. I also want to say to the five of us linemen that made the trip, YES ONLY FIVE, including myself, Sturgeon, Washington, Tony, Lenny, and hell even Kedrick one of our runningbacks played line, we did one hell of a job playing IRON MAN and I THANK YOU... Yes we will take this loss with great pride 20 vs 60 and only losing by 10, we will take it. Coach Goode we played for you and your mother, and you were with us the entire time although you weren't physically there, we tried to pull it off but came up just a little short.. But rest assured you were there with us... And a personal note to the ones that went to the Spartans tryout and ditched your team to tryout for them, I hope they can get you to more places than we can good luck in Arena, because we were the ones that needed you not them...Also the BULLS squad at the combine, blew everyone out of the water, we were untouchable..Fastest time in the 40 out of everyone was Marquez Gibson 4.34..Great Work..The Bulls would also like to thank the Tampa Bay Storm AFL1, Arkansas Twisters AFL2, and the Florida Firecats AFL2, for having us...

    BULLS 39 BRONCOS 8,
STATS POSTED: CLICK ON GAME RESULTS TO THE LEFT. ALSO GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE AVAILABLE.

    BULLS 39 VS BRONCOS 8 JULY 21 2007

RAGIN' BULLS 14, CHARLESTON KNIGHTS 6
STATS ARE POSTED FROM THIS GAME

In a game that would prove to be a battle to the finish the Bulls were able to pull it off. The conditions to start the game were descent, but wet, and by half time it was flooding. The Bulls offense could not get anything going, they were driving and got inside the 5 on two occasions but were stopped by the defense of the Knights. The defense for the Bulls again stepped up to the plate holding the Knights to limited movement anywhere on the field. At half time the score was 0-0, and clearly the momentum had changed to the Knights. However the Bulls were faced with adversity, and a crisis. During the first half of play some person unknown went into the Bulls locker room and took most of the players personal belongings, as well as several cell phones, some of the Bulls remaining uniforms and money. This took the Bulls players several minutes to regain composure, after giving up a third quarter touchdown run by the Knights QB. It was then that the Bulls showed there horns. The offense which was led by QB Jamie Williamson, WR Derrick Williams, and RB's Gary Rogers and Dwayne Williams. It took the Bulls four tries from the Knights 3 yard line to get in but they did, after a missed PAT it was tied 6-6. The Bulls defense which was led by the entire squad, shut the Knights DOWN. Totally!!! The offensive line also gained its composure given QB Jamie Williamson time to find WR Derrick Williams on a 40 yard TD pass. To seal the victory Jaliyl Jackson sacked the Knights QB in the endzone for a safety, making the final score Bulls 14, Knights 6. To the players, I know this was very difficult to go back on the field after the thief took OUR THINGS, but I applaud you for looking defeat in the face and having the strength and confidence in each other to put defeat on the other side. And to the thief that took our belongings, we may never catch you or never know who did this, but one thing is for certain the man watching over us all knows exactly who you are!! GO BULLS!!!

TO ALL PLAYERS THAT WANT TO PLAY
To all players: we have practice every Wednesday up until we leave for Miami. Practice location is at Liberty Park in Grovetown. 6pm. If you are going to commit to play for this team you need to call Coach Goode 706-829-8054. No questions asked, you must call!!! It is ridiculous that some of you have taken advantage of our kindness on calling if you can't make it. We do understand sometimes things happen and you can't. However the BS will stop here. We are building a unit that takes pride in the entire organization. You guys know we have practice on Wednesday, GET A RIDE, don't wait until the day of.. If you work late, just show up, we have lights... If some of you do not care to come to practice then understand neither do we care for you. Some of you are hindering our progression and hindering some of the players that do want to play. So I will leave you with this, you know the practice schedule, the ones that show up will go to Miami and play, those that do not will completely be erased from the roster, not a threat, just a wise business decision!!! We want the best possible players, but if that means only having the 20 best, then that's what we will play with. YOU MUST CALL COACH GOODE, IF YOU ARE PLAYING WITH THIS ORGANIZATION, or you could not call and be cut!! YOUR CHOICE!! We are finished talking, we will start taking action. Thank you Owner JIMMY CRONAN

R.I.P Sean Taylor, From the Bulls Family
MIAMI (Nov. 27) - Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor has died, a day after he was shot at home, said family friend Richard Sharpstein.

He said Taylor's father called him around 5:30 a.m. to tell him the news.

His father called and said he was with Christ and he cried and thanked me," said Sharpstein, Taylor's former lawyer. "It's a tremendously sad and unnecessary event. He was a wonderful, humble, talented young man, and had a huge life in front of him. Obviously God had other plans."

He said he did not know exactly when Taylor died.

Doctors had been encouraged late Monday night when Taylor squeezed a nurse's hand. But Sharpstein said he was told Taylor never regained consciousness after being transported to the hospital and that he wasn't sure how he had squeezed the nurse's hand.

"Maybe he was trying to say goodbye or something," Sharpstein said.

The 24-year-old Redskins safety was shot early Monday in the upper leg, damaging an artery and causing significant blood loss.

Miami-Dade Police were investigating the attack, which came just eight days after an intruder was reported at Taylor's home. Officers were dispatched about 1:45 a.m. Monday after Taylor's girlfriend called 911. Taylor was airlifted to the hospital.

Sharpstein said Taylor's girlfriend told him the couple was awakened by loud noises, and Taylor grabbed a machete he keeps in the bedroom for protection. Someone then broke through the bedroom door and fired two shots, one missing and one hitting Taylor, Sharpstein said. Taylor's 1-year-old daughter, Jackie, was also in the house at the time, but neither she nor Taylor's girlfriend were injured.

"It could have been a possible burglary; it could have been a possible robbery," Miami-Dade Police Lt. Nancy Perez said. "It has not been confirmed as yet."

Taylor was shot at the pale yellow house he bought two years ago in the Miami suburb of Palmetto Bay. It came about a week after someone pried open a front window, rifled through drawers and left a kitchen knife on a bed at Taylor's home, according to police.

"They're really sifting through that incident and today's incident," Miami-Dade Police Detective Mario Rachid said, "to see if there's any correlation."

Taylor starred as a running back and defensive back at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami. His father, Pedro Taylor, is the police chief of Florida City, Fla.

Teammates and coaches often have portrayed Taylor as misunderstood, and that much was true. A private man with a small inner circle, Taylor became distrustful of reporters and anyone else he didn't know well. He rarely granted interviews, sometimes declining with a smile and a handshake and sometimes with a snarl that said: "Get out of my way."

But, behind the scenes, Taylor was described as personable and smart — an emerging locker room leader.

Especially since the birth of his daughter Jackie.

"From the first day I met him, from then to now, it's just like night and day," Redskins receiver James Thrash said. "He's really got his head on his shoulders and has been doing really well as far as just being a man. It's been awesome to see that growth."

An All-American at the University of Miami, Taylor was drafted by the Redskins with the fifth overall selection in 2004. Coach Joe Gibbs called it "one of the most researched things" he's ever done, but the problems soon began. Taylor fired his agent, then skipped part of the NFL's mandatory rookie symposium, drawing a $25,000 fine. Driving home late from a party during the season, he was pulled over and charged with drunken driving. The case was dismissed in court, but by then it had become a months-long distraction for the team.

Taylor was also fined at least seven times for late hits, uniform violations and other infractions over his first three seasons, including a $17,000 penalty for spitting in the face of Tampa Bay running back Michael Pittman during a playoff game in January 2006.

Meanwhile, Taylor endured a yearlong legal battle after he was accused in 2005 of brandishing a gun at a man during a fight over allegedly stolen all-terrain vehicles near Taylor's home. He eventually pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors and was sentenced to 18 months' probation.

Taylor said the end of the assault case was like "a gray cloud" being lifted. It was also around the time that Jackie was born, and teammates noticed a change.

"It's hard to expect a man to grow up overnight," said Redskins teammate and close friend Clinton Portis, who also played with Taylor at the University of Miami. "But ever since he had his child, it was like a new Sean, and everybody around here knew it. He was always smiling, always happy, always talking about his child."

On the field, Taylor's play was often erratic. Assistant coach Gregg Williams frequently called Taylor the best athlete he's ever coached, but nearly every big play was mitigated by a blown assignment. Taylor led the NFL in missed tackles in 2006 yet made the Pro Bowl because of his reputation as one of the hardest hitters in the league.

This year, however, Taylor was allowed to play a true free safety position, using his speed and power to chase down passes and crush would-be receivers. His five interceptions tie for the league lead in the NFC, even though he missed the last two games because of a sprained knee. Teammates said he had overhauled his diet this year to include more fruit, fish and vegetables and less red meat.

"I just take this job very seriously," Taylor said in a rare group interview during training camp. "It's almost like, you play a kid's game for a king's ransom. And if you don't take it serious enough, eventually one day you're going to say, 'Oh, I could have done this, I could have done that.'

"So I just say, 'I'm healthy right now, I'm going into my fourth year, and why not do the best that I can?' And that's whatever it is, whether it's eating right or training myself right, whether it's studying harder, whatever I can do to better myself."

    His hard work was well-noted.

"He loved football. He felt like that's what he was made to do," Gibbs said. "And I think what I've noticed over the last year and a half ... is he matured. I think his baby had a huge impact on him. There was a real growing up in his life."

My thought's go out to Sean's family please pray for them now in there time of grieving . R.I.P. Sean Taylor

    MILLION DOLLAR CHAMPIONSHIP
MILLION DOLLAR CHAMPIONSHIP: NEWS FROM THE NAFL

It’s a possibility, right? If TV Networks can give away millions of dollars to the winner of reality shows, then why can't we give away a million dollars to our champion? The NAFL is officially announcing that we are seeking a championship game title sponsor with enough vision to give a million dollars to our 2 best teams – $750k to the winner and $250k to the loser. It’s actually a $1.5 million dollar package (commissions and implementation costs). This sounds crazy but we won't quit until it happens.

The first step is to identify our core demographic. The NAFL has a nationwide brand presence. We are in over 100 markets. Our household income is between $50k and 99k per year. Our core demographic is 18 - 35 year old males, 60% college educated and equally split between 49% African Americans and 49% percent Caucasian as well as the proverbial 2% “other”. Sorry about the “other”. I know we have some very talented American Indians, Asians and Latinos that need to be recognized as well as some defensive lineman that truly fit in the category of “other”. Hank P., for example, must be a descendant of Animal from the TV show, The Muppets.

Next we need to identify companies that are in a position to do this. MONSTER flashes through my mind - that's where we will start. We’ve already approached companies about national sponsorship opportunities. Dairy Queen told us that they are looking for more of a suburban demographic. AFLAC loves our product, but wants us to have more of an established television presence. We received a verbal “yes” from an online casino to do something. We are working on getting them on TV. I got it! How about if they put their name on our game, put the game on the internet and then promote the game on via television commercials that point people to the web site. I will keep you informed. In addition, I have a meeting with a large food manufacturer today. The law of large numbers says that if we talk to enough companies, someone will give us a million bucks, right? Maybe if I use the techniques in The Secret; that should help, too. Ha ha.

It may be realistically too late to ask for something this year, however, we are still going to try. Ideally, we will be able to announce our million dollar partner before the end of this season. If anyone reading this article has a relative working for a company with a million dollar marketing budget and has gazungas, have them contact us, after all we do offer a flat 20% commission to anyone who opens and closes a sale for the NAFL.

MESSAGE FROM GUESTBOOK ---- THANK YOU ANNESHIA
Hello to you all out there that support the GEORGIA RAGIN BULLS, I am Anneshia Johnson and I'm Antwaun Carter's girlfriend, hopefully wife one day, and I just wanted to extend my thanks to the coaches and team for helping Antwaun out to continue his career. We have been together for many year's and I have watched him struggle so much basically through life in general. I always ask him how do you keep going on and on, you know without a steady income and working odd jobs here and there. As he know's I depend on my parents to help me through everything and to be out there in the world alone for so long I would break under pressure. He always tell me that he has to do it, he has to continue working hard for his family, and that football is his life and he'll never give it up. He is so dedicated to football and speaks very highly of his coaches from the Ragin Bulls. So I just wanted to extend my thanks to this organization and let you guys know that you really have helped Antwaun reach his goal more than you know. Go Cologne!!!

    Thank you...

    A.Johnson

    MOST IMPROVED
We would like everyone to meet Telley Cheeley #13 QB (Rookie), Telley has been working very hard in learning the pass routes, and all the veteran players. Ronnie Williams #17 QB/DB has stepped up to teach Telley the ropes in absence of Jamie Williamson which is currently playing with the Augusta Spartans indoor team, and will rejoin us at that seasons end. So far we have seen Telley become more confident in his passing abilities as well as calling the plays in the huddle, and with his sure running skills, we believe he has the making to be a great QB at this level as long as he continues his hard work ethic at running the offense. Remember Telley BEING CONFIDENT WILL REPLACE THE FEAR OF NOT KNOWING. Great job, and way to step up. That's why you deserve to be the most improved so far.

    BULLS VS RENEGADES
    June 2, 2007 - 07:00 PM --   PLAYERS NO PRACTICE ON MONDAY!
WATCH HIGHLIGHTS BY CLICKING ON GAME HIGHLIGHTS TO THE LEFT.

    BULLS 32 VS RENEGADES 0
    Stats will be posted soon!

This past Saturday @ Warren County Stadium the Bulls started back exactly where they left off in 2006. In rainy and messy conditions the Bulls were able to pound the ball and cause several turnovers from the Renegades.

    OFFENSE

New rookie QB Telley Cheeley proved to everyone that he is ready to carry his new found team. Telley's elusiveness proved to be to much for the Renegades when they flushed him out of the pocket. The Bulls power running game again showed its horns as Gary Rogers TB, and Bryan Belton FB pounded the opponents all night. Veteran RB Dontae Davis showed this year why he is ready to take more reps, with his speed if he gets to the outside he is gone!! Rookie runningbacks Eric Curry, Kedrick Robertson proved to be very promising as both have speed and power which just adds to the Bulls infested backfield. The Bulls BIG NASTY'S O-LINE, held the Renegades D at bay all night.

    DEFENSE

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bulls showed why they were ranked among the highest in the nation in 2006. Ralph "PAC-MAN" Scott Jr. was lighting them up from all angles by intercepting two passes and taking one 28 yards to the house. While recording a couple of sacks. Veteran Victor Martin recorded a sack, while his leadership seems to be rubbing off on the younger players. Jonathan Mathis, a lock down DB, and a veteran to minor league football proved to be to much for the receivers for the Renegades as he recorded an interception and took it 17 yards to the house. Jon Wiley DB rookie, also played an intrical part in locking down the opponents. Demarllo Bolton DB rookie, also intercepted a pass and took it 38 yards before being tackled on the Renegades 14. Kicking and Punting game proved to be just as effective as last season as Michael Bray came up huge by keeping the Renegades pinned all night. The BULLS BULLIES D-LINE, kept pressure on the Renegades QB constantly. DL rookie Bryan Pontoon showed his power and made a huge impact.

Great job I am very proud of all of you, now we just need to keep improving and make the run for the NAFL CHAMPIONSHIP!! Coaches great job, we could not make it without you. Next pre-season game June 16th, @ Perimeter College against the Georgia Crusaders 5PM.

"PRESS RELEASE" -- BULLS TO BECOME TEAM GEORGIA AFTER 2007
This is what the logo will look like that is going on the helmet. The state flag will be on the back right of the helmet.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Bulls Go Team Georgia in 2008

For the first time in the State of Georgia, a minor league football team will be named after the state. The Georgia Ragin' Bulls organization has written to Georgia Governor, Sonny Perdues, office to obtain clearance to use the Team Georgia name. The clearance was given to convert the Bulls to Team Georgia after the 2007 season.

Team Georgia will represent the state flag as their official logo, sporting the Georgia flag on their helmets starting in 2008. "This is a major step in our sport and for the Central Savannah River Area or CSRA. Not only are we going to be able to market ourselves across the State of Georgia, but we will be able to use this as a growing tool for our players. The Bulls organization prides themselves on being one of the best programs in minor league sports for the CSRA. This just proves that we are one step closer to that goal," said a spokesman for the Georgia Ragin' Bulls.

The Bulls will remain in the North American Football League.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available. The new team site is already up and running, but will be very limited until the Bulls 2007 season is finished. You can visit the site at www.teamgeorgia.us.

    BULLS RUNNINGBACK DRAFTED BY CENTURIONS
Antwaun Carter RB #11 drafted By Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe

The Georgia Ragin Bulls announce one of their very own, Antwaun Carter, has been drafted in the NFL Europe Draft by the Cologne Centurions. Carter the Bulls running back got some help from the Bulls organization. Back in October 2006, the Bulls helped Carter get his tryout with the Amarillo Dusters of AF2. A day later he was signed, but before he was able to play a down, he entered himself into the NFL Europe Draft and became a Cologne Centurion.

“I spoke with Antwaun," a team representative said, "today and he stated he is getting ready for the Centurions camp. He stated he hoped to do very well and to be picked up by an NFL team in the near future.”

Carter is out of Boise State University, 2-years removed. He will get his first professional experience later this month during the Centurions camp held in Florida.

This is not new to the Bulls, in sending up prospects. Just in the Bulls first season four college eligible players have found there way to Lagrange College by way of the Bulls, and several have joined the Augusta Spartans of the WIFL. When owner Jimmy Cronan was asked what makes the team prosper. Jimmy stated "It all starts with ownership of the team, the coaches, and the way the team is carried overall. When my guys step on the field, the other team knows that the Bulls were there win or lose, the Bulls were there." And as an owner I try very hard to put my guys out there so they are noticed, I consistently stay on the phone with every pro, and college team possible. Mr. Cronan stated the team has joined the NAFL 1 division and are looking up to the challenge, and if you don't know who the Bulls are before we get there, you will know who we are when we leave. AUGUSTA, GA - Friends of Jeffrey Ellison say he was looking forward to second season with the Palmetto Dragons semi pro football team.

Wayne: "As a player he was the Reggie Bush of our organization because he was the go to man in offensive scheme."

But Thursday night Ellison's career ended as he was hit by one of 18 shots fired at this home on Central Avenue. Richmond county investigators have arrested 20 year old Vernon Ryans, 20 year old Sandy Washington, both of Jackson, SC. Along with 20 year old Andre Madison of Beech Island and 19 year old Jeremy Terroll Williams of Augusta. All four men have been charged with murder.

Richard Roundtree: "Our investigation revealed that the subjects in the case had prior dealings with the victim who survived. We believe he was not the intended target of the drive by."

Sgt. Richard Roundtree says the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud that started last may. David Wright was teammate of Jeffrey Ellison. Wright says he still can't believe it happened.

David: "Well it was a hurting feeling, you would never suspect something would happen to a man as humble as Jeffrey and I've never known him to be in any trouble. The only thing I can think of he was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
