What are the ages for Scottsdale Cal Ripken?
Our program accepts kids (both boys and girls) from ages 4-12.
What is the age cutoff for the league?
We use April 30th of the current year to determine the player's "baseball age". The player uses this age for both the Spring and Fall Season.
What are the dates for the Spring and Fall Seasons?
Our Spring Season runs from late February to mid-May.
Our Fall season runs from the weekend after Labor Day to the weekend prior to Thanksgiving.
Where do you play the games?
We generally play at either Grayhawk Park, Sonoran Hills, Copper Ridge or Aztec Park. That is ultimately determined by the City of Scottsdale.
How many games and practices per week?
T-Ball and Rookies generally have one practice and one game per week (Saturday mornings). Minors and Majors generally play two games per week and may also practice once a week. The times and days for games will vary.
Can we request our child to be on a team with friends?
We will do our best to honor those request for both T-Ball and Rookie Teams. There is a field on the registration form to indicate a friend that you would like to be teamed with.
What is the cost?
For the T-Ball and Rookie Divisions, the cost is $135. For Minors and Majors, the cost is $160. The fee includes a jersey, a hat, insurance, an end of season award, our MLB All-Star Clinic and an evening at an Arizona Fall League Game (Fall) or an ASU Baseball Game (Spring).
How do I register?
We do our registrations on-line via this website. Go back to the welcome page and click on the link to the Registration form. You can also pay via credit card through this secured site.
