The Whittier Redskins Executive Board is pleased to announce the 2009 Recipients of the Scholastic Achievement Award.
We are proud to give honor and recognition to our young student-athletes and encourage them to continue to stay committed to school.
These young students are being recognized for having a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or above.
Our Redskin Scholars initiative, hard work, and dedication, exemplify a commitment to their studies, which make them great role models for others to emulate.
We challenge and encourage our youth to keep their grades up, and to continue being involved in extracurricular activities.

NEW SNACK BAR FEE!!!!!
SNACK BAR FEE
This season the league in incorporating a snack bar fee of $20. This fee is per participant in football and cheer. Parents will not longer be scheduled to work for your participant during the season at practices or home games. This is a mandatory fee. This fee will be used to pay the snack bar crew during the season.
We are looking for a Snack Bar Manager and 3 work crews, these are going to be paid positions. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please send name and contact info to our league email address (whittierredskins@yahoo.com) .
Snack Bar Manager:
will be in charge of supervising crews, setting up menus, purchasing all items, among other duties. Snack Bar Manager will be working with Executive Board. Will be paid $15 for practice days and $50 for home game days.
Work Crews:
will be in charge of prepping food, setting up and breaking down, cooking, selling, trash clean up, among many other duties.
LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING WORK CREWS:
Practice crew - 3 people 6pm to 8pm pd $10 per night
Game day crew - 5 people 7:30am to 1:30pm pd $50 per day
Game day crew - 5 people 1:30pm to 7:30pm pd $50 per day
These snack bar positions are permanent season positions, you will have to work all season and cannot pick and choose what days you want to work. You will need to treat these days and hours like a job. If miss any days then will be replaced.
