Requirements for Managers & Coaches

This new category will try to explain the Babe Ruth League and B.A.B.L. requirements that are necessary if you plan on becoming either a Member, Manager or Coach with Brick American Baseball League.

Background Checks and Training
Babe Ruth Online Training Program
Background Checks

Brick American Baseball League is required to have all board members, managers, coaches, and other volunteers or hired workers who provide regular service to the league or/and who have repetitive access to or contact with players or teams annually fill out the Brick American Baseball League Volunteer Application and provide a government-issued photo ID.

Additionally, the league is required to conduct a background check on each of these individuals. All background checks must be completed before individuals can assume their duties for the current year.

Training
Required fundamentals and Safety training, every three years with the Babe Ruth League.

Appointments (Managers, Coaches & Umpires)
The president appoints managers, coaches and umpires at his/her discretion with board approval.

No person can manage, coach or umpire without the president appointing and the board approving that appointment.

Appointments of managers, coaches and umpires must only be made after the background check is complete.
