Congratulations:  The following families won the Lottery for the Giants tickets on Monday the 17th vs the Carolina Panthers.

We had requests for over 150 tickets and therefore, to be as fair as possible, we had to do a random lottery in order determine who would get the tickets.

If you are listed below - please pick up your tickets at the Snack Shack at Friday's practice.    We ask that you wear something "Pioneers" so that you can represent the organization.   The Pioneers will be announced on the big screen sometime during the game.

What does "No Pads" mean?

The league requirs that the 1st three days of practice for the tackle squads (Peewee, Biddy & Midget) be "No Pads".

This meanns the players only wear Helmets (with mouthpiece) , cleats, cups, shorts and t-shirts.

Full pads practice starts the following Monday 8/17.

Also - it take 60-90 mintes for the human body to hydrate. This means don't wait until the start of practice to start drinking water - that's too late.

Please have your football player start drinking fuilds about an hour before practice so they are fully hrdrated when we start. It will be better for them and the team.

June 5, 2009  --

Over the summer, I expect all of our football players to be doing all their push-ups & sit-ups and other strength exercizes.  Also you should be working on refreshing your football skills like 2 & 3 point stances, agilities like backpedaling, shuffle & carioca, catching & passing and even kicking if you want to be a kicker/punter.

 There's a difference between
someone who plays football and being a football player.
Which one will you be this year?

May 21, 2009  --

The WCMFL is changing its scheduling and playoff formats for 2009.

The league, currently 12 teams, will be split into 2 divisions of 6 teams each.   Each team will play the other teams in its own division (5 games) and half the teams in the other division (3 games) for a total of an 8 game season.   However, only the games played within your own division will be counted toward the standings used to identify playoff teams.

Each division will get two teams into the playoffs.  In week 1 of the playoffs, the 1st place from one division will play the 2nd place team from the other division.  The following week will be the championship game.

The league has still finalizied the teams in each division

South Division

North Division

Flemington Pioneers

Belvidere Wildcats

Lambertville Ramblers

Lopatcong Panthers

Mansfield Cowboys

*North Warren Patriots

Steele Hill Bulldogs

Phillipsburg Falcons

Wash Boro Redskins

*Pohatcong Redskins

Wash Township Panthers

*Riegel Ridge Rams

* Indicates Out of Division opponents for 2009

The schedule for the upcoming season is finalize and posted on the website.
The season will start on the weekend of Sept 12-13 and the playoffs will start on the weekend of November 7-8, with the championship game on November 15th.

This means Practice starts 1 month before that - August 12th -and there will be no bye weeks this year.
