Welcome to the website of the Franklin Regional Lacrosse Club (FR Lax). The club was established in 1989 by a group of enthusiastic parents who wanted to give their sons and daughters an opportunity to explore a new and exciting sport in the region. The boys have fielded a team since 1990, and the girls since 1995. Our teams have enjoyed great success. Beyond league play, the varsity teams compete against high caliber opponents in such areas as Philadelphia, Cleveland, Columbus, and Detroit.

The FR Lax booster organization supports the High School Teams through volunteer and fundraising efforts. The Franklin Regional Youth Lacrosse (www.frylax.com) sponsors club teams at the younger levels and provides experienced lacrosse players for the high school programs to draw from. These programs develop our young players into athletes while promoting sportsmanship and a love of the game.

The lacrosse season is played in the spring with registrations typically beginning in January. However, various clinics and leagues are often available in the fall and winter for players new to the sport to check it out and for returning players to keep up their skills. The clinics will be advertised on our website and also in the Penn-Franklin newspaper. Registration will be through forms available on our website when the registration period opens.

Our games are played at the Franklin Regional HS Stadium (turf), Beckwith and Veterans Fields near the Community Building/Library, and at the Sloan Elementary School field.

FR Lax serves the Franklin Regional School District and the communities of Murrysville, Export, and Delmont.
