Nor'Easters Practice FAQ

How long do practices last ?-
On average a practice last 2-2.5 hours

What do we need to bring?
Please make sure your child is always prepared for anything.  He should bring all equipment to every practice.  This includes Catchers equipment (Cups..etc).   Also, please make sure you bring fluids for your child, Extra Innings does have a vending machine available for your convenience.

What should my child wear to practice?
Dress in baseball attire.  NEVER WHERE JEANS to a practice.  Child will not be allowed to participate.  Also, for safety shorts are not recommend.  Please ask your specific coach for his teams policy.  All players should purchase a Nor'Easter hat and wear to every practice!  We recommend a Nor'Easter practice shirt/sweatshirt.

NO CLEATS for Indoor practices - DRESS WARM as we may go outside and EI is cold during winter months!

Please note:
We expect players to be at practices before the schedule start time.  Practice begins prompt, so please arrive 10 minutes early at a minimum.  It hurts the whole team when we have to stop and have a player jump in..

If you are going to be late or can not attend practice please have the courtesy to notify your coach.  We work hard with our practice plans and just ask for common courtesy...we understand things out of your control come up!

Best Wishes,

Tim Daneau

New England Nor'Easters - powered by LeagueLineup.com

Hello All,

First I want to thank you for joining the Nor'easters for the 2010/11 season.  We are excited about the new season and are anxious to get started .  To kick things off we will have a program wide meet and greet Friday Night Oct 22nd 7-10pm held at the Billerica Elks located at 14 Webb Brook Rd, Billerica.  The intent of this night is to get information out regarding practices, rules, etc to the entire program and allow parents to meet their 2010/2011 teammates.  We expect that the meeting itself will take 1.5 hrs.  The remaining time will be a meet and greet session for parents, coaches and vendors.

We will have snacks and a cash bar available at this event.  This meeting is mandatory for at least one parent.

Some of the items we will cover at this meeting are as follows:

  • Program Rules – Quick recap

  • Schedules - Practice, Games and Tournaments (Practices will start the weekend of Nov 6th and 7th)

  • Facility Use –  Extra Innings

  • Development Plans

  • Uniforms

  • Strength and Conditioning Program

We will have our 2010/2011 apparel on display so players and parents can pre-order this year.   Steve Silva from Extra Innings will also be on hand to take care of your memberships and answer any questions you may have.  Please remember, all Extra Innings memberships must be paid before the first practice date for Full Time Players.

If you would like to help with this event we are looking for some volunteers to bring bake goods, snacks..etc..   Please email Sue@NorEastersBaseball.com.

Children are welcome to attend if you are stuck however we would prefer adults only.

We are very excited to get things going and can’t wait to see you all on the 22nd.  Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any questions!

Sincerely,

Timothy J. Daneau
