The 1975 Rancho JV team was one of the best JV teams in the history of Baseball - the five Major League Players that suited up for Rancho High School were Mike Morgan (20+ Plus MLB - 1st Rounder by the Oakland Athltics), Perry Swanson ( Chicago White Sox), Tommy Barrett (Philedaphia Phillies), Aubrey Lucas (Pittsburgh Pirates) and Mark Bloomfield (Oakland Athletics). The Varsity team had four more guys that went on to play professional baseball - guys by the names of John Hunington (Cincinnati Reds), Marty Barrett (Boston Red Sox), Mike Guerra (Seattle Mariners), Jeff Wolfe (California Angels) wore the pinstripes. NOTE: Rodger Fairless(Hall of Fame HS Coach) Charlie Barrett (Los Angeles Dodgers)were a couple of years before. Mike Maddux (Pitching Coach of the Texas Rangers) and James Reschke (Oakland Atheltics) were just a few years later. The coaches that led this group were very special in their own right, Tex Anthony (Hall of Fame), Tom Coleman (Hall of Fame), Manny Guerra (Hall of Fame)and Rodger Fairless (Hall of Fame was an assistant in the late 70's). The 70's were a decade of incredible Basbeall for Rancho High School. Merging the "OLD" with the "NEW"
