My name is Sunny Sultan - Vice President Baseball, SBSA (Singapore Baseball Softball Association)
Our goal is to win the YOUTH Regional and WORLD Baseball Championship for SINGAPORE in the age group of 10U and 11U years old!
SBSA will be hosting the PONY South Asia Baseball Championship for 10U and 11U on 23rd to 26th May 2012 in Singapore.
Mustang: Players born between 1 May 2001 to 30 April 2003
Bronco-11: Players born between 1 May 2000 to 30 April 2002

No country in South Asia has ever won the Baseball World Championship.
Personally, I believe we can win!
We need time or years to prepare
This game requires Motor Skills which all kids are taught in school
By selecting the best local kids in motor skills and with proper training and commitment.
We, Singaporeans can be World Baseball Champions!
I, as Singaporean, will volunteer my efforts to spearhead this program.
Major League Baseball will also send their coaches to assist us in our preparation.

Singapore Baseball & Softball Association and Sultan Baseball Academy will be having this Major League Baseball Clinics over the next few days for all current local players who are keen to learn new skills on baseball - Pitching / Catching / Hitting. Clinics are offered FREE OF CHARGE and will be conducted by Major League Baseball Envoy Coaches - Coach Dave Palese & Coach Bob Buskett
Interested parties MUST register online, indicating the session(s) that you will be attending.

8th South Asia Boys Nankyu Baseball Championship 2011
Singapore Baseball & Softball Association (SBSA) & Sultan Baseball Academy are inviting players from SACAC and the American community to participate in our 8th South Asia Boys Nankyu Baseball Championship, 7th-9th October 2011.
There will be 2 age groups:
** Team: Mustang 10U -- Players must be born on or after 1st Jan 2001
Head Coach -- Andrew Windheim

No. of Teams: 6
Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore
** Team: Bronco 12U -- Players must be born on or after 1st Jan 1999

No. of Teams: 12
Australia, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand & Singapore
There will be a tournament fees of S$1000 per team and each team must provide a qualified umpire to help in umpiring the games during the 3-days tournament.
The trials and selection for the players of the above 2 teams will be on:
1. Friday, 9th Sept 2011, 4.30-6.30pm @ Turf City.
2. Saturday, 10th Sept 2011, 4.30-6.30pm @ Turf City.
We are looking for players with the following:
1. Good Attitude & Coachable
2. Prepared to train on their own and work towards to being better than yesterday.
3. They must be available for: i. Training sessions
ii. Tournament Games: 7th October 2011 (Friday) afternoon from 4pm onwards
iii. Tournaments Games: 8th October 2011 (Saturday) -- Opening Ceremony & Games (details to be given later)
iv. Tournament Games: 9th October 2011 (Sunday) Games & Closing Ceremony (details to be given later)
This Nankyu tournament is a build up towards selecting players for the PONY age group tournament (Mustang & Bronco-11) in Singapore, May 2012.
1. Players will have to pay for their own uniforms and caps.
2. All players must wear white pants, white socks and black belts. Players are expected to get their own pants, socks and belts.
Details of uniforms will be given later.
I will be arranging field practice at a nominal rental and arrange scrimmages with BCS teams as well.

11th Pan Pacific Baseball Championship
Singapore Baseball & Softball Association (SBSA) and Baseball Club Singapore (BCS) will be hosting the above Youth Regional Baseball Tournament on 19-21 August 2011 at Turf City Baseball Fields.
Teams from the following countries will participate in the above tournament:
1. Japan - 2 teams
3. Chinese Taipei
7. Singapore Japanese - 2 teams
8. Singapore American
9. Singapore Local
Total: 11 teams
This tournament is supported by Major League Baseball (MLB), USA.
We are looking for Boys:
-- Interested to play baseball and to represent the Singapore Baseball Youth Team
-- Born on or after 1st January 1996.
The U15 Youth baseball program is to identify and groom potential National Team Players. We welcome softball players to come forward for the assessment and selection this Sunday, 24 July 2011, 4pm at Turf City.
Selected players will have to attend trainings on the following Sundays:
-- 31st July 2011
-- 7 & 14 August 2011
-- Certificates will be issued to players representing Singapore in this tournament.
-- Players who are not able to turn up for assessment this Sunday can still turn up for subsequent training sessions.

The organizers will pick 2 All Star Teams from players of the above teams. Players from the 2 teams will be invited to MLB Academy in China for games and clinics. Selected players have to pay for own travel, food and lodging expenses. There will be NO tournament and clinic fees.
The training in MLB Academy will prepare players for their respective National Teams. Also, competitive players who are interested to be professional ball players will get a chance to showcase their skills and potentials.
The next U15 baseball regional tournament will be held in November 2011 in Singapore.
From the above 2 tournaments, we will pick a Singapore team to participate in the U15 World Championship in Netherlands in 2012.
More details will be provided at a later date.

Instructional League for Gr. 3, 4 & 5
Sunny Sultan will be running a 6-session baseball instructional league at MacPherson Primary School starting on November 18. The program dates are November 18, 23, 25, 30 & Dec 2, 7. The times will be from 4:30 to 6:30pm and will be located at MacPherson Primary School’s field. In the event of a rain-out session, the make-up dates will be December 9.
Sunny and the coaches will be working on fielding, throwing, hitting, and running bases. For any of you who are not familiar with Sunny’s background or coaching techniques, I am confident you will be most pleased with the education he can offer your child. Sunny is a very positive role model to the students of the game and his coaching style is traditional and very well-structured. This particular program is being offered to Grades 3, 4 and 5.
Cost: $35 /session /kid
Total: S$ 210 /player for 6 sessions
** Players who are participating for the 1st time in this league will have to pay an additional S$40/player for a shirt & cap.
Maximum No. of Players in each class: 14-16 players

I am Sunny Sultan, Head coach of Sultan Baseball Academy.
For the last 30 years, I have been coaching softball and baseball.
In softball, I was the Head coach for the Singapore National Softball Team for Men, Women and Youth.
To be exposed to Elite coaching, I worked with the China Women National Softball team in their preparation to the Atlanta Olympics. This team won the silver medal.
In baseball, I am presently coaching youth from the Local, Japanese and American communities.

This tournament will be held on 2nd & 3rd October 2010 in Singapore at Turf City. The 7 teams participating will be from Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore. All players must be born on or after 1 Jan 2000.
This is the 13th Championship since we started in 1998. This event is sanctioned by MLB. We will invite 12 players from this Instructional League to participate in the above tournament. The selection of the players will be based on attitude, willing to give his best and skills level.
The head coach for this team will be Coach Brad Finefrock.

At the end of the instructional course, a team of 12 players will be chosen to participate in , The 7th South Asia Boys Nankyu Baseball Championship (an MLB-sanctioned tournament) on October 1-3, 2010 in Singapore.
The cut off birth date: Players born on or after January 1, 2000.
This tournament is organized by Sunny Sultan. There will be 6-8 teams participating in the above mentioned tournament, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and three teams from Singapore (Local, Japanese & American).
Players for this team will be chosen based on the following criteria:

This coaching clinic is conducted by Coach Rick Dell, MLB USA. He is the Director of Development (Asia) and he has conducted clinics for school teachers and coaches of different level for Asia, Europe and USA.
This is an introductory level to coaching and the skills taught are applicable to:
d. Games of Catch, Throw & Hitting
e. Parent & Child
Skills to be taught:
1. Proper warm-up technics
2. Throwing, Hitting and Fielding
3. Baseball related games and activities
a. The next level to coaching is Level 0, followed by Level 1.
b. Teachers and coaches are encouraged to apply skills taught to their respective students and teams.
c. We plan to have a fun league later in the year and will invite you and your team to participate. We plan to target Grade 3-4 & Grade 5-6.
