Congratulations to Andy Fletcher & Matthew Kittelberger!

Congratulations to Andy Fletcher & Matthew Kittelberger who both played their final games as Terriers. Matt and Andy had long careers as Terriers, starting at the 16U level and continuing all the way up through the Collegiate team. Thanks for all the good times and great memories!


 

Championship Weekend — Collegiate Terriers vs Allegheny Athletics

July 23, 2017 – 11:00 AM

The Collegiate Terriers secured the third seed for the 2017 Tri-State Collegiate League Tournament but they lost in the quarter finals to the Allegheny Athletics, 9-3, at Pemberton Park in Youngstown. Thanks for a great season Terriers!


 

Weekend 8 — Collegiate Terriers vs Sylvania Lobos

July 8, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers swept a double header from the Sylvania Lobos at North Canton High School on Saturday. Strong pitching by Matthew Kittelberger and Chandler Stahl paved the way. Kittelberger threw a complete game allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 9. In the nightcap, Stahl pitched a complete game, 2-hitter, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 13 Lobos' batters! On Sunday, the Terriers split a double header with the first place Pittsburgh Pandas. Dalton Davis powered the Terriers in game 1 with 2 home runs, one a grand slam, and 7 RBIs. The Terriers battled back-and-forth in game 2 only to lose 13-10.


 

Weekend 7 — Collegiate Terriers vs Sylvania Lobos

July 8, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers took 3 of 4 from the Sylvania Lobos at Britton Deerfield High School this weekend.  Jon Conkle and Evan Maley each had two home runs. Austin White went 7-7 on Sunday with 3 doubles and 7 RBIs. Will Haueter went 4-5 in game 2 on Sunday with two doubles and 3 RBIs. Michael Seminatore pitched another gem in game 1 on Sunday going 7 innings, striking out 7 and giving up only 3 unearned runs.


 

Weekend 6 — Collegiate Terriers vs Pittsburgh Pandas

July 2, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers split a double header with Core Athletics on Saturday at North Canton High School.  On Sunday the Terriers were swept in a double header by the Pittsburgh Pandas at LaRoche College.


 

Weekend 5 — Collegiate Terriers vs Creekside Crocodiles

June 24, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers split a double header with Creekside on Saturday at Pemberton Park. Matthew Kittelberger going the distance in game one for the victory. On Sunday the Terriers swept a double header from the Allegheny Athletics at North Canton High School. In game 1, Will Haueter went 4 for 4 with a single, 2 doubles, a triple, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored! Austin White was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Other multi-hit players in game 1 — Luke Kail and Mike Eversole! In Game 2, Evan Maley had a triple and 3 RBI.


 

Weekend 4 — Collegiate Terriers vs Core Athletics

June 17, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers split a double header with Core Athletics on Saturday at Tarentum Legion Field. Matthew Kittelberger lost in a pitcher's duel in game one, 3-0. Michael Seminatore threw a 2-hit shutout, in game two, for the 6-0 win. Garrett Crum hit a home run in game two for the Terriers. On Sunday, the Terriers were rained out against the Golden Spikes. Weekend 3 — Collegiate Terriers vs Creekside Crocodiles

June 10, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers swept a double header from the Creekside Crocodiles on Saturday at North Canton High School! Matthew Kittelberger pitched a complete game, 4-hit shutout, struck out 7 and walked 1. Michael Seminatore threw his own 4-hit shutout, in the night cap, for the win. Will Haueter & Austin White went deep for the Terriers. On Sunday, the Terriers were swept by the Allegheny Athletics at North Allegheny High School in Pennsylvania. Justin Hovorka made his first start as a Terrier and lost a tough 1-0 pitcher's duel.


 

Weekend 2 — Collegiate Terriers vs Golden Spikes

June 3, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers swept a double header from the Golden Spikes on Saturday at historic League Park in Cleveland! Matthew Kittelberger threw 5 innings in game 1 and struck out 8 batters. Michael Seminatore limited the Spikes to 1 run in game 2 going 8 innings for the win. Multiple hit games by Maglione, Haueter, Eslich & Houser powered the Terriers. On Sunday, the Terriers were swept by the Toldeo Hawks at Springfield High School in Holland, Ohio.


 

Opening Weekend — Collegiate Terriers vs Toledo Hawks

May 27, 2017

The Collegiate Terriers split the weekend series with the Toledo Hawks; winning games 2 and 4. Strong pitching by Matthew Kittelberger, Michael Seminatore, Brock Wenger and Austin White and timely hitting by Andy Fletcher, Garrett Crum, Jon Conkle and Jared Houser helped propel the Terriers.


 

Tri-State Collegiate League 2015 Champions!

July 27, 2015 – 09:00 PM

The Stark County Terriers defeated the Pittsburgh Pandas 4-2 in the Tri-State Collegiate League Championship game on Monday night at Pemberton Park in Youngstown, Ohio! 

The Terriers relied on Matthew Kittelberger to eat up innings en route to the win. Kittelberger started the game and pitched seven innings, allowed one earned run, four hits and two walks while striking out two. 

Shawn Holman ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs. 

Terriers' closer Andrew Smith put away the final six outs to record the save. 

The Pandas jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. A double by Chris Miller, scoring Tyler Craig started the inning off. Stark County tied the score in the top of the third on a bases loaded walk by Jake Tisevich.

The Terriers went up for good in the fourth, scoring three runs on three singles. Will Haueter lead off the inning with a double. Austin White walked followed by the three singles by Sean Trexler, Tim Turner and David Fach.

The Pandas managed one run in the bottom of the fourth. That ended the scoring for both teams.

Andrew Smith got Nick Stotler to strike out looking to end the game.
