OUTLAWZ 17 / Under Team takes home 1st Place
April 29, 2007 --
Battle of the “OUTLAWZ” at The OK Corral. The 17/U Tracy OUTLAWZ faced the Tri-Valley Outlawz in the first round of tournament play and this was more than just a game. It was the battle for name sake bragging rights! Controlling the tempo, Rebounding Well and Out Hustling the Tri-Valley Outlawz is what won the game for the 17/U Tracy OUTLAWZ (54 - 43), capped off by a 19 point performance by Brenden Evans and 14 points by Terrance Jones.
The second game saw the 17/U Tracy OUTLAWZ faced up against the Central Valley Warriors (Smashing Hoops). Hustle, Rebounding and HEART is what won this game for the OUTLAWZ against a scrappy team to the end (46 - 42).Great individual performances by Brenden Evans and Terrance Jones (10 points a piece), David Biscevic (9 points) and Darius Turner (8 points).
The Championship game had the 17/U Tracy OUTLAWZ faced up against the X-Action (Hoyas), a BIG and INTEMADATING team (as a lot of the crowd was saying). But Coach Charles’ team was ready for the challenge at hand. Focused on the game, Intensity, Rebounding, Heart & Determination is what got this job done and “ANOTHER” win in the Championship Game for the 17/U Tracy OUTLAWZ (65 - 52). Great individual performances again by Brenden Evans (19 points), David Biscevic (15 points), Kris Beck (11 points) and Darius Turner (10 points).
Brenden Evans took home the “Tournament MVP” award and justly warranted it. Averaging 16 points per game in this tournament, 48 points in 3 games, this “Sophomore” post player is just that, A PLAYER. Great job and Congratulation. Keep up the hard work…….

OUTLAWZ 17 / Under Team takes home a Consolation Championship Award
April 22, 2007 --
With the absence of Frankie Bonifacio (who just might have helped the undersized OUTLAWZ), the 17/U OUTLAWZ lost to the Oakland Soldiers 2. A slow start, lack of rebounding and height differential were the key factures in the OUTLAWZ being knocked into the Consolation Bracket, where they faced the Solomon Knights.
With another slow & lazy start and LOTS of turnovers, and with the absence of Kris Beck and again Frankie Bonifacio, this game looked to be a long and tough one. However the OUTLAWZ finished out the game strong, capped off by a Brenden Evans STRONG 18 point performance, and took home the prize and victory.
Congratulation on "ANOTHER" successful Tournament Placing. Keep up the hard work. GOOD JOB!!!
