Welcome to 2007
March 1, 2007
Welcome to the Jenkins Warriors site. The Warriors play in Region 3-AAAAA. Jenkins is coached by Seth Gaspin who is entering his 4th year at Jenkins. Coach Gaspin comes from Memorial Day School where he was very successful, his teams were state runner-up and State Champions in 2002 and 2003 respectively. Coaching with Coach Gaspin is Ashley Walker, 4th year (Hitting), Billy McAdams, 3rd year (Outfield), Robert Zoeller (Catchers), 2nd year, and Jay Smith, 1st year (Pitchers)
The Warriors will be led by 11 Seniors. Adam Miller, SCAD signee, Chris Bedell, Matt Oglesby, Greg Shafer and Andrew Gay will be looking to lead the Warriors deep into the play-offs. We will play a very stringent schedule with Valdosta, Lowndes, Redan and Berkmar along with the regular Region 3-AAAAA opponents. Defense and offense look to be the Warriors strong suit this year. Our pitching staff will be very respectable with Miller, Tyler Tuttle, Bedell and Oglesby being the heart of the staff. On defense Joey Robertson will handle the pitchers from behind the plate. We will platoon at 1st base with Miller, Bedell and Ben Richardson. 2nd base will be Andrew Gay unless Oglesby is pitching. Oglesby will be at Shortstop. 3rd will have Bedell, Tuttle and Stephen Crump. The outfield will consist of Chris Harris LF, Greg Shafer CF, Ben McAdams RF, with Antwan Walker, John Coker, as their back-ups. Anthony Blue will be counted on as a reliever and back-up outfielder. Kevin Browning and Chris Mahany round out the team.
Be sure to check back and see the results and progress the team has made this year. Sign our Guest Book below.
