Hilsdon Leaves After Building JV/V Teams
D. Allen Hilsdon was hired at Trenton High School to put a team back on the field for the 2008 season, after Trenton's softball folded in 2007 after just three contests. Coach Hilsdon did just that, when 24 girls came out to play for the Lady Tigers in 2008 and the school completed a junior varsity and varsity schedule along with hosting its first ever tournament.
The girls worked hard through the long season and 18 remained out throughout the year. Trenton's softball will continue to grow with the new leadership of Ashley Anderson, who will move from Assistant Softball Coach to Head Softball Coach in 2009.
