The Legends are an Amateur Baseball Team that plays in the MABL/MSBL Indianapolis Adult Baseball League. The Legends consist of former high school and college baseball players. With most players returning from the 2005 team and a few new faces, the Legends prepare to be one of the more competitive teams during the 2006 season.

Legends Lose to White Sox 8-7
September 10, 2006
The White Sox evened the season series vs. Legends by winning 8-7. The Legends record is now 7-10 heading in to the playoffs starting next Saturday. Game time will be at 12:30pm. Opponent and location TBA later this week.
Legends Loss To Pirates Evens Season Series

The Legends lost to the Pirates Sunday by a score of 16-12. The Legends record is now 7-9 with one regular season game left this Sunday vs. White Sox at 12:30pm @ Lawrence North.
Legends Even Season Series With Cubs

The Legends defeated the Cubs 10-3 and moved their record to 7-8 on the season with two regular season games left before the playoffs. Eric Roe threw his 2 complete game of the season and Mark Lewis and Josh Dawalt each added HR's. The Legends will play the Pirates this Sunday at Lawrence North High School.
Red Sox Take 2 From Legends

The Red Sox defeated the Legends 8-5 in the first game of the double header and 13-1 the second game. The Legends record is now 6-8. The Legends are also the current #8 playoff seed. The Legends will play the Cubs this Sunday at Lutheran HS at 3:30pm.
Legends Lose To Braves

The Braves easily took care of business against the Legends in a 17-6 rout. The Legends record is now 6-6 and play the Red Sox in a double dip this Sunday at Pike High School with the first game starting at 12:30pm.
Giants Out Hit Legends

The Legends had to battle the heat and the red hot Giants Sunday. The Giants out hit the Legends and went on to win 10-7. The Legends are now 6-5 and will play a rain out make up this Sunday at Brebeuf vs. Braves.

Titans Pitching Too Much For Legends

The Titans pitching staff was just too much for the Legends bats yesterday ending a 4 game win streak. The Titans have the Legends number this year, taking the season series 2-0. The loss drops the Legends record to 6-4 on the season. Josh Dawalt started the game off by hitting a double on the 1st pitch of the game but the Legends offense was pretty much shut down by Johnny O. The Legends look to rebound against an improved Indy Giants team next Sunday at Chatard HS. The Legends won the 1st meeting this year and look to take the series.

Legends Knock Expos Out Of 1st Place

The Legends defeated the Expos Sunday 16-11 bringing the Legends record to 6-3 and a tie for 2nd place. The Legends are currently on a 4 game winning streak. Jeremy Roberts received his 4th win of the season pitching 6 innings and Erik Roe picked up his 4th save of the season pitching the final 2 innings. Matt Stonebraker had his breakout game going 5-6 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBI. The Legends will try to continue the winning streak this Sunday vs. the Titans at Chatard @ 12:30pm. The Legends and Titans are tied for 2nd place in the division. The Titans won the first meeting 11-9 and it was the last time the Legends lost a game.

Legends Get The Sticks Out For A 21-10 Win

The Legends beat the Broad Ripple Brewers 21-10 for their 3rd consecutive win. The Legends put up 20 hits, 2 HR's and 5 2B's. Erik Roe received his 2nd win of the season going 4 innings and allowing only 1 earned run with 5 K's. The Legends were led at the plate by Josh Dawalt who was 5-5 with a home run, a double, and 4 RBI. The Legends will travel to Lutheran HS to face the league leading Indy Expos Sunday July 16th @ 12:30pm.

Legends Out Hit White Sox

The Legends beat the White Sox 15-6 on what turned out to be the hottest Sunday of the season so far. 9 players actually decided to show up and it was a well played game by both teams. A special thanks to newcomer Dan Runge(pronounced RUN-GEE)for spending all 8 innings behind the plate and calling a great game for the pitchers. The Legends put up 15 hits to get the victory. The Legends will travel to Chatard to face the Brewers this Sunday at 3:30pm.

Legends 8 beat Astros 9
June 24, 2006
The Legends beat the Indy Astros Sunday before the down pour came. The game was played very fast, 9 innings in 2 hours, due to the fact that the Legends only had 8 players show up and the Astros finished with 8 because one player was ejected early in the game for arguing balls and strikes. The Legends look to field a full squad this Sunday when the face the White Sox at Zionsville HS. The Legends record is 3-3.

8th Inning Rally Not Enough, Legends Lose 11-9

The Legends lost to the Titans Sunday 11-9 on what turned out to be a wet day. The Legends were unable to hit the ball well against a nice pitching staff the Titans put on the mound. The Titans held the Legends in check for most of the game until the top of the 8th when the Legends were down 11-1. The Legends put up 8 runs to mount a comeback and make the game look respectable. Newcomer OF John McLauchlin went 3-4 with a double in his debut with the Legends. The Legends will travel to Lutheran High School to face the Indy Astros Sunday at 12:30pm.

Legends Make It 2 In A Row With Win Over Undefeated Pirates

The Legends won their 2nd consecutive game beating the once undefeated Pirates 9-4. Pitcher Jeremy Roberts threw 6 innings of great baseball earning his 2nd win of the season. Legends travel to Zionsville this Sunday to battle the Indy Red Sox at 3:30pm.

Legends Pick Up 1st Win vs. Giants
May 21, 2006
The Legends picked up their 1st win of the season by defeating the Indy Giants 7-4. Legends starting pitcher Jeremy Roberts threw 7 innings picking up his 1st win as a Legend. Erik Roe had 5 K's and threw 2 shutout innings to earn his 1st save. The Legends played errorless baseball and added 14 hits to secure the win. The Legends were lead in hitting by Erik Roe and Jason Shipley each adding 3 RBI's and Roe hitting his 2nd home run of the season. The Legends will have next week off due to the Indianapolis 500 and will resume play Sunday June 4th vs. the Pirates at Pike HS @ 12:30pm.

Cubs Comeback Drops Legends To 0-2

The Legends dropped their second close one of the year to the Cubs 11-9. Once again the Legends let a lead slip away. First year pitcher Erik Roe had another promising outing but the defense ruined any shot of Roe picking up his first win. Jeremy Roberts lead all hitters going 4-4 with a HR, his first of the season. The Legends get next week off due to Mother's Day and will look to rebound against the Indy Giants on May 21st @ Pike HS.

Cardinals Edge Legends In Shootout
April 23, 2006
The Legends lost to the visiting Cardinals 15-13 in a shoot out on Opening Day. The game entered the top of the 9th with the Legends leading 12-10, but a good hitting Cardinals team scored 5 runs in the top of the 9th to secure the win. The Legends did however put up 1 run in the bottom half of the ninth but it just wasnt enough. The Legends are a much improved team from last year. Starting pitcher Erik Roe pitched for the first time since 2001 and went 4 solid innings. Roe also connected for a 2 run HR in his first at bat of the season. The Legends as a team managed to put up 14 hits in the loss. Newcomer Jeremy Roberts also pitched in his first game with the Legends providing solid relief for 2 innings. The Legends look to rebound and bring their record back to .500 when they battle the visiting Braves next Sunday April 30th @ 12:30pm at Pike High School.
