Background Check Program
This program is mandatory for all coaches in Anne Arundel County. The purpose of the Background Check is to ensure that our children have a safe and positive experience, and to provide parents with peace of mind. Persons must be clear of any convicted of illegal use of drugs, drug distribution, child abuse or violent crimes shall be prohibited in leagues or programs sponsored by the Department of Recreation and Parks."
Violent crimes are defined as homicide, rape, sexual assault, robbery, assault, and battery.
