Jam On It

The purpose of Jam On It Basketball Academy, Inc., is to build positive self worth, promote a sense of accomplishment by engaging children in fun, competitive play, and to foster the belief that trying ones best is as important in sports as it is in life. All children, regardless of race, gender, or economic background, should have the opportunity to compete in a well-organized athletic program.
Children deserve a sense of belonging and purpose. Family and sports teams can provide for this need in a positive way. The alternatives that children often turn to are gangs, drugs, and suicide.
Girls that participate in sports are less likely to be abused, become pregnant, and get involved in gangs. 50% of the youth that do not participate in local or national sports competition or programs is because of the cost. Athletics can build character, self-esteem, and promote cultural appreciation.

Lodi Tigers
The Lodi Flying Tigers are a privately funded, non-profit youth sports program that strives to provide an instructional and competetive basketball program for boys in the greater San Joaquin Valley of California. Our club is affiliated with AAU (Amateur Athletic Union), which is an international sports association. Our club was founded in March of 2003 when the organization fielded a single 3rd grade boys basketball team. Since then, the program has expanded to include two 6th Grade boys teams, and a 4th / 5th grade combined boys team. Our future goal is to have a complete 4th through 8th grade program available to the boys in our communities.

California Ballaz
California Ballaz AAU Program was established in the fall of 2005 by its director and coach Leroy Hurt. The Ballaz AAU Program formerly existed as Bay Area Magic from 1997 – 2005. As the Assistant Director of the Magic program, Leroy Hurt oversaw its growth from one 17 & Under team, to a program with multiple teams in age groups from 10 & Under – 15 & Under. As life has taught us all, an ending of anything creates a new opportunity and a new beginning for another – thus the California Ballaz has the opportunity to begin with a new direction and focus.
