Naked Bats
Naked bats was founded by 24 year old active semi pro player Derek Bonds of Mt. Pleasant Michigan. Starting in the year 2000, Derek, a current high school player and father Fred put together a nationally recognized prospect team to compete annually at the AZBA Wood Bat Fall Classic in Peoria, Arizona. After a few years of overwhelming breakage issues, the BPR Nationals opted to supply themselves with a premium product that they would create themselves. As seasons passed, the father and son “naked bat crew” created and successfully tested hundred of models and gathered player feedback on each. The result of these efforts came to create four models of bats each designed for balance, performance, and comfort. These bats were made and tested by players and cannot be found anywhere else because they are the sole property of Naked Bats’ creative department. The artwork featured on our bats is that of the famous WWII pin-up artist R.T Foster, whose influence on pin-up bomber art can be seen on display at the Smithsonian. Our retro themes towards the 30’s and 40’ era of baseball and is shown in everything we do. The golden age of baseball lives on with Naked Bats...

Established in 1994, the Mid-Iowa Baseball League has become one of the top amateur men's baseball leagues in the nation. We are affiliated nationally with the Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL) and have sent numerous teams to tournaments all across the land, including the annual (October) MSBL World Series in Phoenix, Arizona.
