• Gustavia "Gussie" Banks Traylor Memorial Scholarship Fund
    The fund was established in 2009 in the memory of Gustavia "Gussie" Banks Traylor. Mrs. Traylor was born in Queen City, TX and resided in Mount Pleasant, TX. The fund will provide six $250 scholarships three during the fall semester and three during the spring semester of the academic year to students pursuing an undergraduate degree or have received an acceptance letter from an accredited college or university.

    Scholarship Eligibility Information: Applicants must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree at a post high school institution of higher learning or have been accepted to one. The applicants must have completed high school with a minimum grade point average of 2.50. Preference will be given to high school graduates of Queen City, Mt. Pleasant, Tyler, and Lufkin, TX.

  • Texas College Grants Information
    The purpose of the program is to provide a grant of money to enable well-prepared eligible students to attend public and private nonprofit institutions of higher education in Texas. The priority in making awards is to provide continued funding to recipients already enrolled in the program who are in college and are making progress towards their degrees.$3 billion dollars is available every year to help Texans attend college.
