From Route 295 (BW Pkwy) take Route 198 west (to Laurel). At the 6th Taffic Light turn left onto Brock Bridge Road. Go past Brock Bridge Elementary and the small airport, continue to fields on the left.
Maryland City is a small community located on Rt. 198, Ft Meade Rd, between Rt. 1 and Interstate 295, Baltimore Washington Parkway.
We are in the Laurel postal district which has 4 counties in its boundaries, Prince Georges, Montgomery, Howard, and our county of Anne Arundel. We are in the farthest northwest corner of AA.
Our Sites of interest are few, but for those interested...The Laurel Race Track is right across the street from our community, it is the home of the world famous International Horse Race held once a year. It is part of the Triple Crown.
Ft. George G. Meade is our neighbor, this is home of the 1st Army which is in charge of protecting the Capital. Also included in this base is the National Security Agency (NSA). Our community was developed to help house all the super secret spies that worked in that super secret building;).
Our other next door neighbor is the Patuxant Wild Life Refuge, they are world famous as a wild life perserve and have been first in perserving several animals on the endangered species list.
