Beacon High School
From the East on 84:
Take Exit 11. Make a left onto 9D South (last exit before bridge). Follow Rt. 9D South to traffic light (Southern Dutchess Country Club on right). Make a left onto Verplanck Avenue. Follow Verplanck Avenue for approx. 1 mile. At the first stop light, make a left onto Matteawan Road (Hammond Field on left). Follow Matteawan Road approx. 1/4 mile. Beacon High School is on the left.
From the West on 84:
Take Exit 11 (exit immediately after toll booths). Make a right onto 9D South. Follow Rt. 9D South to traffic light (Southern Dutchess Country Club on right). Make a left onto Verplanck Avenue. Follow Verplanck Avenue for approx. 1 mile. At the first stop light, make a left onto Matteawan Road (Hammond Field on left). Follow Matteawan Road approx. 1/2 mile. Beacon High School is on the left.
From the North:
Take Rt. 9 to Rt. 9D South. Follow Rt. 9D South. Go to first traffic light after intersection for 84 (Southern Dutchess Country Club on right). Make a left onto Verplanck Avenue. Follow Verplanck Avenue for approx. 1 mile. At the first stop light, make a left onto Matteawan Road (Hammond Field on left). Follow Matteawan Road approx. 1/4 mile. Beacon High School is on the left.
From the South:
Take Rt. 9 North to Rt. 403. Make a left onto Rt. 403. Follow to Rt. 403 to Rt. 9D. Make a right onto 9D North. Follow Rt. 9D North through Cold Spring into Beacon. You will go around a large curve (Bobs Corner Store is on the right). You will come to a traffic light. Make the second right after the traffic light onto Rt. 52 (George Washington Monument is in the center of the island). Go to the second traffic light. Make a left onto Verplanck Avenue (old Beacon High School is on the corner). At the first stop light, make a right onto Matteawan Road (Hammond Field on left). Follow Matteawan approx. 1/4 mile. Beacon High School is on left.
