DIRECTIONS TO THOMAS JEFFERSON CLASSICAL ACADEMY:
1) From locations west of Forest City, NC (exit 181 on Highway 74 ):
Take Route 26 East and take Exit 36(Columbus, Shelby). Stay left on the exit to enter Highway 74 East toward Shelby and Charlotte. Take Hwy 74 East past exit 181 in Forest City. Take the second exit after 181, OLD CAROLEEN ROAD. Turn right at the top of the ramp onto Old Caroleen Road. About 2.5 miles, turn left onto Hwy 221A. TJCA is about 1 mile on the left, just up the hill after you cross over Broad River. Please pass the school, make the first left at the gazebo, TJCA entrance is on the left. Buses for games may park on the right hand side of the entrance drive, opposite the gymnasium.
2) From locations east of the Rutherford/Cleveland border on Highway 74:
Take I-85 South to exit 10, Highway 74.
Take Highway 74 through Cleveland County into Rutherford County. Take the second exit in Rutherford County, which is HENRIETTA, CAROLEEN exit. At the top of the ramp, turn left onto Ellenboro/Henrietta Road. Proceed about 2.5 miles, just past the Avondale Convenience Center, turn right into the TJCA entrance. Buses for games may park on the right hand side of the entrance drive, opposite the gymnasium.
Note: If you are coming from I-40, east of Hickory, take Route 321 South from I-40 to Route 85 South, take exit 10, which is Highway 74 West. Follow directions above.
3) From I-40, East of Morganton:
Take I-40 west to exit 103, turn left at the light onto Hwy 64 West toward Rutherfordton. Take 64 west approximately 30 miles until you come into the small town of Ruth. Turn left at the traffic light to follow signs for 74 by-pass East. You will pass several traffic lights on By-pass 74, passing Isothermal College. After the last traffic light (Ingles, Pizza Hut on the left), follow the left fork onto Hwy 74 toward Shelby. Take the second exit on 74, OLD CAROLEEN ROAD. Turn right at the top of the ramp, travel about 2.5 miles, turn left onto 221A. See entrance directions above.
4) From I-40, West of Marion:
Take I-40 to Route 221 South. Take 221 South about 20 miles, pass through Rutherfordton, and continue south on 221 another 3-4 miles. Take Highway 74 East, just before the All-American Homes factory. Take 74 East to Old Caroleen Road, and follow directions above.
