WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE LUYAA PREDATORS
The Predators wrestle in Team Tournaments and in the Capitol Area Wrestling League (CAWL). Our pool of wrestlers come from the Frederick County Maryland area primarily the Linganore and Urbana school districts. The CAWL is a 15 team league with teams in the Frederick, Rockville, Washington, and Northern Virginia area. The CAWL simulates High School wrestling with dual meets for a 4 or 5 week period in January and February, a pre-season and post season tournament and a post season state championship which matches up the top wrestlers from the Anne Arundel League, MVAL, and CAWL. The league is a great opportunity to prepare wrestlers for High School wrestling.

The LUYAA wrestling program also wrestles in the Mason Dixon League (MDL). This is a very competitive junior league to teach kids how to wrestle. It is the primary feeder program for the Predators. Our LUYAA Squad consists of wrestler's that are between the ages of 6 through 13 that will feed into the Linganore or Urbana High School wrestling programs. The MDL consists of eighteen teams from four states (Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania) that compete in the Mason Dixon Wrestling League.
The Mason Dixon League is the home to LUYAA, Frederick County Mat Club, Berkeley Springs, Berkeley County, South Berkeley, Williamsport, Catoctin, Boonsboro, Glade Valley, Jefferson, Tuscarora, Greencastle, Hagerstown YMCA, Hagerstown PAL, Willie Walters, Smithsburg, and Martinsburg. /Font>

Fellowship of Christian Athletes Wrestling Camp

This will be a good camp for Christian Athletes. Pat Santoro, Head Coach UMD and Hudson Taylor and Michael Cannon, 2008 NCAA All Americans will be there along with Urbana's Adam Krop. This is a day camp, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. This is a very good camp. The will be a good camp for experienced wrestlers but also good for older inexperienced wrestlers. My son Alex will attend this Camp.

Attached is the Mercersburg Camp Flyer. The Junior Camp is excellent for 1st and 2nd year wrestlers in grades 1-4. Everyone that has ever attended the camp has had a great experience. My son did the overnight camp 2 times at ages 6 and 7 and really enjoyed it. It is a good camp for beginners.
The grades 5-8 camp is an intense camp for the experienced wrestler. You must be ready to learn and be in good condition when going. It is reasonably priced and the technicians are very good. I believe Alex will attend this camp.

From Frederick: Take 70 east to 29 south, stay in left lane and take 100 east to the end of 100, before the red light, take the off ramp to the right to MD-177, go 3 miles and CHS is on the left.
Friday night weigh ins have been cancelled. We will have to weigh in on Saturday morning, between 6:30 and 7:30. Our first match is at 8:00 AM. We will weigh in as a team at 7:00 AM. The HS is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Frederick. The schedule has us set to wrestle in the following rounds. Usually the matches run 2 hours apart so the times are my estimate. It may run a little quicker than this.
Round 1: 8-10 AM (Navy),
Round 2: 10-12 noon (Tyrants)
Round 3: Bye
Round 4: 2-4PM (Depends on pool finish)
Round 5: 4-6PM (Depends on pool finish)
